I remember our class was obsessed with every anime we saw. Pokémon, Digimon () and Yu-Gi-Oh were the main ones. They were all amazing.

Part of my history course used Scooby Doo as an example of 60s counterculture and mainstream. AMAZING.

I remember there only being 3 shows on Cartoon Network (Powerpuff Girls, Dexter's Lab, Ed Edd n Eddy). Also I enjoyed the 'game crazes' kind of shows (yu-gi-oh, Pokemon et al).

The third series of Digimon is probably the best one of these anime type shows. It manages to incorporate really dark stuff like death and the flaws of human nature all in a kids show.

Oh yes Pokemon is another one I loved, I'm still quite the fan actually. More so of the games but I'd still happily sit and watch the new series'.

90's cartoons were amazing

Hey Arnold and Recess were especially good, as was the Spider-Man and X-Men cartoons, they were my Saturday morning rituals <3

On the subject of Pokemon, I actually never liked Misty much, overrated much?

Dawn >>>>> Iris > May >>>>>>>>>> Misty

Dawn >>>>> Iris > May >>>>>>>>>> Misty

oh god YES. pokemon = my childhood life.

may > dawn >>>>>>>>>>> misty > iris

the female accomplice was one of the few things that actually got slightly better over the years. I still quite like iris, but she has nothing on may & dawn who had attitude. misty is a bit overrated as well.

I actually agree with Toby, Misty was an annoying bitch. Ash is too cheesy for me as well.

I loved Pikachu and still do nowadays . Probably the only mouse I'll ever get to like EVER.

Oh my god Delia Ketchum. I could still just slap her, she's so annoying  Stereotypical worrying mother I guess though :P

Oh yes! Third series Digimon was truly amazing. I still can't believe how rapidly the series went from being head and shoulders above everything else around in season 3 to the shit of season 4. Ugh.

Does anyone remember Cardcaptors?

pikachu :puke: could never stand it, and how it's the face of pokemon when it's no way near the best. I just wish he would evolve the damn thing too as raichu is a much better pokemon.
I'm like spamming this thread but YES at Digimon. I remember how amazing it used to be, it's sad it just got so shit, all suddenly as well... Gonna have to download some old episodes methinks, for the nostalgia

That's true, the pilot was going to be a slightly different version of 'Clefairy And The Moonstone' but they thought Clefairy was too girly and would take the franchise down the Hello Kitty route, so they opted for Pikachu. He's hardly masculine though :P

Doug, I am disappoint.

HIM. PIKACHU IS A MALE  I love Pikachu, it is odd how Ash is such a dumbass he never evolves his Pokemon though

Ash is such an idiot. Never liked him! Never really liked Pikachu either but I suspect that might be the "lead male character syndrome" I have.

Raichu isn't even CUTE. WHY WOULD PEOPLE WANT TO EVOLVE PIKACHU TO IT . It just becomes an obese rat

Digimon is bleh. Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh is where it's all at :cheer:

They could have gone with more badass pokemon though. Like MewTwo or Oddish.

Please don't compare Oddish to basic bitches like Mewtwo. The first time I saw Oddish I SHIVERED WITH PURE TERROR.
