Doesn't Nicki Minaj have around 25 top 100 appearences (obviously counting features as well)? But only 4 of those are top 10 (Bedrock, Super Bass, Where Dem Girls At and Starships), and she has no number 1s (although Starships could make it in the coming weeks).

Yeah, BedRock is credited to the entity Young Money (with Lloyd having a separate featured credit). Young Money is essentially a group. Comparably, Wiley doesn't have any UK #1 hits, but he's part of the collective Roll Deep who have 2 #1s.

I don't like the practice of counting featured credits in these kind of stats. It completely ruins the chart records as anyone can jump on a song to do a rap verse they wrote in 1 hour and then sit back without having to do anything else like promotion, etc. They can add chart appearances at ridiculous rates because of this. In my opinion, Snoop Dogg has never had a #1.

 

Stereophonics and the Manic Street Preachers must also rank high on this list.

Dakota was Stereophonics 21st hit (including one re-issue and one feature), all but one (original 'Local Boy...') were top 40.

 

'If You Tolerate...' was Manics 19th top 40 hit.

 

 

Using The Clash is a bit of a cheat because their number 1 was a re-release of the A side of their 15th hit.
