Shame this only finished 30th out of 43rd in the final.

It was a great enchanting track this. Definitely the reason why this got 15 point from Usfland.

He's like an improved version of James Bay tbh

Still waiting for something to match Queen Lia Marie of Teens React for your best of the year

Blond James Bay *.* He's literally identical, the only difference is hair colour

Hmmm I think I'd probably rank Moment Like You as my third fave entry this year, after the HOLY DUO of Hold Me Up and Nån gång. I enjoy all of them lots though and still don't regret any of my entries

Reminds me a bit of James Bay this from your entry. Have you found the translation of this in English? Nevertheless all the best with this. Fan va bra- Super nice or damn good. This is good.

Thanks Mack! I've only seen the translation for the title before. It seems like a really uplifting track to me anyway which is quite a nice shift in tone from last month! Good to keep it all varied of course :D

I'm warming up to this song... ;0

The power of #longhairdontcare continues to impact on me. 👀

The fact you weren't keen on it in the first place is questionable tbh x

The Actual Republic of Bellamia: 2015 Review

It's been a fantastic year for BJSC in my opinion, loads of amazing discoveries and lots of fun along the way. Bellamia underwent a rebrand, to the longer but much nicer name of The Actual Republic of Bellamia. Then I subsequently got pissed off every time someone didn't include the full name in their votes :') (plus Bra likes to be awkward for some annoying reason x). But yes, this is my review of the year, a couple of lists and commentary, and I hope y'all enjoy it.

Firstly, here's my top 15 entries (from other people) from 2015 (I am not dedicated enough to do a longer list :kink:). This is not representative of my main EOY, for the record, so no spoilers :magic: (also, please bear with if I got the contest number wrong, I'm half asleep x)

1. Farahtyn: Benjamin - Young and Restless [bJSC 77]

2. Unovia: Grace feat. G-Eazy - You Don't Own Me [bJSC 75]

3. Séyetana: Rachel Taylor - Porcelain [bJSC 71]

4. Jayrusalem: Natalie La Rose feat. Jeremih - Somebody [bJSC 72]

5. Kluminican Republic: BØRNS - Electric Love [bJSC 73]

6. Bignia-Zaragovina: Astrid - 2AM [bJSC 74]

7. Beaverdonia: Sofia Reyes - Conmigo (Rest of Your Life) [bJSC 76]

8. Tinnmark: Sandra Lyng - Play My Drum [bJSC 76]

9. Terra Di Campioni: Troye Sivan - Touch [bJSC 72]

10. D'yermak'er: Mikky Ekko - Love You Crazy [bJSC 73]

11. Sandénia: Dylan Hyde - Sick of Your Love [bJSC 72]

12. Taahino: We The Kings - I Like It [bJSC 79]

13. Sandénia: Kat Dahlia - I Think I'm In Love [bJSC 74]

14. Kluminican Republic: Francesco Yates - When I Found You [bJSC 74]

15. Ultraviolenceland: Sammi Sanchez - Talk [bJSC 80]

Benjamin steals the #1 spot with ease. Young and Restless was a song I considered but thought it might flop so went with Wølffe instead. Who did worse. Good decision. Grace's song was one I overlooked in the contest but it hit me soon after, an amazing entry from Unovia, most likely their best at least since I joined :o Porcelain was a song Iz linked me to just before the clock hit midnight on 31st December 2014 :magic: It saw me into the new year and I was absolutely hooked, actually going to #1 in my chart (only Young and Restless has also hit the top spot in my chart from this list). Jayrusalem had a STELLAR year and have cemented themselves as one of my top countries, with Somebody heading up the pack of great entries from 2015. Electric Love took a while to hit me, I must've overlooked it in the contest as I didn't point it and didn't even recognise it on Radio 1 when I heard his Live Lounge of the song  It really hit me then though and it's such a good track, glad it hit me eventually.

Other highlights come from ex Bellamian entrant Sofia Reyes, Sandra Lyng and Mikky Ekko, as well as one of my current favourite artists, Troye Sivan. Touch is far from his best song IMO despite still being great. Only one Bignia entry in my list this year, coming from Astrid's fantastic song 2AM, more of this kinda song please Jack ^_^ Further down, I almost sent Dylan Hyde's Sick of Your Love, but opted for Lia Marie Johnson instead as ultimately I knew I preferred it, and I'm glad I did as Dylan DNQ'd and Lia gave me a 2nd top 10. Poor Calum though. He fared better with Kat Dahlia though who also appears on my list. Taahino surprised me with how good their entry from We The Kings was, a solid tune and one I'll no doubt return to lots! Finally, rounding off the pack, we have another Klum entry, and my recent 18 pointer from Ultraviolenceland.

Gonna award a "country of the year" award, which means f*** all really but I'm sure this person will appreciate it lots. The award goes to Jayrusalem, who have impressed me with all of their entries this year, and I feel they are quite often overlooked in the contest! G'won Jay, please keep entering BJSC as we love your entries

Finally, my personal ranking of my 10 entries this year:

1. Conrad Sewell - Hold Me Up [bJSC 76]

2. Ulrik Munther - Nån gång [bJSC 74]

3. Lia Marie Johnson - Moment Like You [bJSC 72]

4. Jakob Karlberg - Fan va bra [bJSC 78]

5. Reed Deming - Satellites [bJSC 71]

6. The Ready Set - Freakin' Me Out [bJSC 79]

7. Niykee Heaton - Cold War [bJSC 73]

8. Wølffe - Shoot You Down [bJSC 77]

9. Eaves - Alone in My Mind [bJSC 80]

10. Olivia Somerlyn - Parachute [bJSC 75]

Not a single regret there, every song was a top 10 hit in my chart and I listen to them all frequently still. I'd have liked to have sent Benjamin's Young and Restless along the way but at least it didn't miss out from being entered at all. Conrad quite safely snatches the #1 anyway, Hold Me Up is a song that has yet to tire on me

Here's to 2016, hopefully at least another top 10 for The Actual Republic is in the waters :magic:

Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh

 Thank you! Jayrusalem always appreciates the support *.*

Looovely to see Grace so high too! Yaaay Francesco Yates was another fave of mine.

I think my favourite entry of yours this year was Cold War, followed by Hold Me Up! *Co-op playlist smash*

Josephhhh! How did I miss this? That really means a lot to me, thank you. The feeling is mutual, of course! usually more so when you don't send long haired boys :heehee:

Thanks Ultra  Thought you'd appreciate the more pop entries, hopefully more to come from them in 2016 as it's where my heart lies really!

No worries Jay, I know you sometimes feel a bit undervalued in BJSC but I've made loads of discoveries from you *.* oh and #CoOpImpact x

YES! I had forgotten about my timely introduction of Porcelain to you Joseph, that's really cool now I think about it, but I'm very pleased to see it's stuck with you all the way through the year to come out at #3.
Great to see Mikky Ekko feature here  I forgot you were a big fan of it (because all you ever seem to do is shade my entries away from that ^_^). I like a lot of the other sangs too ~
