Scroll right down to the bottom of the Daily Mail article for a preview of the new M&S advert with Gary singing a cover of Here Comes The Sun.

It will air for the first time on 4 April 2012 during the Emmerdale ad breaks on ITV.

Not sure if this will be released as a single in similar fashion to Ellie Goulding's Your Song but we'll soon find out.

How this will be handled will be interesting, imagine if it ended up as a huge single like Ellie Goulding?

I quite like it on first couple of listens, guess it will all depend on what the reception towards it will be. But from what i gather its all looking positive

I think it was released a few days after the advert starting being shown (before most people had seen it) and it managed to debut at #39 after being released on a Friday.

Gary says its coming so maybe they are actually waiting for the sun to come out again
It is starting to look that way for sure, ideally if it was going to be an offical single, it should have got a release straight away to coincide with the advert.
Another messed up release then, basically following the trend of Take That singles, recording wise is solo Gary with the same record company as Take That?

That's a good question. As far as Im aware he is involved with various labels; Sony hold the back the solo and TT back-catalogue, Polydor hold UK TT, Universal are involved with European TT and Gary's label Future is a branch off Universal. Gary also is signed up to a Sony songwriting Publishing deal so who knows

Well possibly the same one as TT are signed to now. Isnt Robbie signed to the same label as them too now? So if he does, then i'd suspect that would be the one.

I've come across something very interesting on Amazon!!

They are listing a 7 song EP entitled Gary Barlow & The Commonwealth Band which includes Here Comes The Sun (full version) as well as the song "Sing" co-written with Andrew Lloyd Webber for the Queen's Jubilee!

It is scheduled to be released May 28, 2012 and apparently it will be free to download!
