Carly wasn't number one by this time last week either, though.

Carly had to plow through fake versions though (I'd imagine she had the same problem that's caused Usher to have a slow start, with Carly Rae Jepsen Tribute Team initially showing up higher on the search results for 'carly rae jepsen call me maybe'). Plus she's not an established artist so has a much lesser fanbase and therefore would be expected to be less frontloaded anyway.

Bieber probably still will go to #1 though (on iTunes at least). I'm just hoping he somehow doesn't.

Considering the huge amount of ground Justin has had to make up between Nicki and Carly, I think he's done very well. I have no doubt he'll take number 1 at some point, but whether he'll hang on for very long... He's got a top 2 in the bag though.

* This is erroneously credited to The Human League because it's included on their greatest hits album; Philip Oakey is the lead singer of The Human League but this song is credited to Giorgio Moroder and Philip Oakey. This is the same version of the song as the one at #69.

Level Up  #17

Last Time  #18 - huge drop for this next week then

Irritating as it is to see 'Last Time' falling away from the top 10 - it's got 2 album versions, a Now 81 version and the EP/remixes to boost it too. I think SyCo left it late to release 'Last Time' though, an OA/OS (or shortly after the video première) would've worked a lot better.

I have Sway #16 on my feed. He also has a second version at #203. He has two EPs for some reason, at #11 and #88.

Breathe Carolina  #41.

Santigold still only #211 :(

Considering the huge amount of ground Justin has had to make up between Nicki and Carly, I think he's done very well. I have no doubt he'll take number 1 at some point, but whether he'll hang on for very long... He's got a top 2 in the bag though.

I adore your sig

I know that I'm like 3 pages late, and I would hate to re-kindle an old flame, but I think it is fair to say that a frontloaded song is one that sells a high percentage of its total sales within the first few weeks of release. Obviously there will be many exceptions to this rule, but I think that this summarises what people were trying to say on the last few pages.
2000 and late

I'm 3008 bruh. :rap:

But yeah, I should've worded what I was trying to say like biophiliac. did.

Usher up to #7!!! :cheer:

Bieber still stalling at #2 :D

 7. Climax - Usher

 15. Level Up (Extended Mix) - Sway

 40. Blackout - Breathe Carolina

 33. We Are Young - Rainbow Mix

Will you just release already fun.? :drama:

Bieber still stalling at #2 :D

 7. Climax - Usher

^_^ Think it'll make Top 3 by tomorrow, just taking a while.

15. Sway - Level Up

27. Wheatus - Teenage Dirtbag (This should re-enter the top 40 this week :cheer:)

30. Beyonce - End Of Time

33. Rainbow - We Are Young (I fully support the fake version if their still releasing the 13th May)

Bieber's progress has halted at 90% of Carly! :cheer: So hopefully if he does manage to steal iTunes #1, it won't be long before he starts falling :D
Shame to see that Flux Pavilion isn't actually going to be credited on his first top 20 hit - hopefully Example can rectify that in a couple of weeks.
I feel like I'm in Alcoholic's Anonymous when I say this, but seriously: I really like Boyfriend. I can't stand Justin Bieber or his previous songs, I think his obnoxious fans ruin Twitter for everyone, but I think this song is a real step up in quality for him. THERE I SAID IT. *Dramatically flounces out*
