Yeah, I'm a bit miffed that Ordinary People is so high. I just could never see the big deal with the song, it's just so..well, ordinary. However, the way it was used on The Voice, particularly in the last 5 minutes, was very effective. I knew we'd be seeing it charting high again, but I certainly didn't expect it to hit so hard so quickly.

 

I'm actually more impressed with the Maxwell/Kate Bush situation though. The girl who sang it was very good, but I'm shocked that it has motivated enough people to go and actively look for it. I'm pleased about it though.

On a different note: that Rita Ora woman makes me cringe, does she think she's a G or something? I hope her song misses the top spot when it's actually released.

So, Conor Maynard is officially out on iTunes now. I'm expecting him to be #1 this time tomorrow, but my prediction could be wrong.

I hope Conor can get to #1. Really not sure if he will, since Carly is selling a lot. But the song is really, really good, so maybe he stands a chance. Would be even better if John Legend got #1! :lol:
