Which are you most excited about? By re-release, I mean a proper remastered album with bonus tracks, unreleased material and mixes.

I'd probably want Let's Get to It to be re-released, so that it could hopefully be a bit more successful. I wouldnt see the point in re-releasing the Greatest Hits though, as it would just be another Greatest Hits! :P
Let's Get To It, it is such a brilliant album, some amazing songs on it.

For me, let's get to it was her weakest album overall from the PWL era but it does contain the infectious "if you were with me now" and brilliant cover version "gimme just a little more time".

That would be a good reason to re-release it - get some better tracks

I agree, lets get to it is by far her weakest pwl album although i do like like word is out, if u were with me now, give me just a little more time and i guess i like it like that.

I would love to see Kylie, Enjoy Yourself, and Rhythm of love re released, at the moment i have been listening to enjoy yourself alot so at this particular time so that gets my vote.

While i wouldnt call myself a fan of Kylie, the Enjoy Yourself era holds special memories for me, i am not quiet sure i would buy Kylie albums now outside her greatest hits.

I wonder is there even a slight chance of any of her album getting a re release. One thing i have to say against Kylie or her record labels is they have yet to release an re issue worth talking about, when i say re issues i guess i mean deluxes but there hasnt been one yet that i have been majorly impresses with. I mainly feel X and especially Aphrodite could have done so so much better with proper deluxes as i feel neither album reached their true potential.
I think Aphrodite should have been re-released in March 2011 - just after the release of Higher and before the tour, I reckon it would have helped it alot!
Yes i agree, highr done quiet well and it was crazy not to re issue the album with that on it and some other tracks, a wasted opportunity but at that stage the record company just seemed to have given up on Aphrodite.

I agree ...such a pity we never got decent deluxe editions of either X or Aphrodite. I remember all the talk about Aphrodite being an 18 month promotion with 5 singles coming from it and they seemed to abandon it so quickly and yet a re-release with a killer new cut and higher included could have turned it around.

Aphrodite had a strong start, all the lovers did really well, and aphrodite opened with decent sales, sadly it declined after that and the record company gave up too quickly, the single releases were messy to say the least. A deluxe with better scheduling would have helped alot.
I think that Get Outta My Way and Better than Today's release dates should have been brought forward - it was silly not to release Better than Today like the week after her X Factor performance.
Ya definitly better than today should have been released straight after her x factor performance, it didn't help when kylie herself said no its not out for a few weeks yet. The x factor performance did give the album a boost though which was great. I know Aphrodite ended up performing disappointingly but looking at Madonna's mdna so far Aphrodite held up well.

I think the dawn of the digital age has exposed a shift in Kylie's fan base. Prior to the Aphrodite era, you didn't need all that many sales - digital or physical - to make it to the top ten. But with the explosion of digital, young people now buy singles again, and Kylie has much less of an impact in the market place.

I know this is a reality many die hard fans don't want to accept - I don't want to either. But try as I might, I can't blame the record company / release / promote schedule for the failures of GOOMW and BTD. For example, Rihanna/Gaga/Katy don't need every planet to be aligned (eg an appearance on X-Factor) to make a splash on the charts. But for Kylie, we insist that all ducks be lined up.

We're seeing the exact same thing now with Madonna. I don't like the MDNA era, but I don't think it's any worse than Hard Candy or Confessions. Yet those releases produced a plethora of chart hits. Times have changed.

Where to from here? I believe Kylie can still have hits - and certainly sell decent amounts of albums - but she needs to diversify, which in fact she is doing perfectly. Can't fault her approach at this stage of her career.

I have to say that I disagree with your comments based on the following;

1. Kylie can still have a substantial hit single and "all the lovers" proved that by being her biggest selling single in 10 years in the UK

2. I think Madonna's lack of success is more to do with a very poor lead single and a poor advertising campaign by her record company

3. Parlophone messed up badly on the releases of get outta my way and better than today. GOOMW was the wrong choice for 2nd single. For both songs, there were no B sides and instead crap remixes. BTT had a poor promotion campaign

I think the reason Madonna and Kylie have struggled with their most recent albums are due to poor record company management. It was ridculous that Parlophone abandoned Aphrodite after the third single. They didnt even try to re-release it following the success of "higher".

In a way i see what HerbieHollywood is saying as a hit will be a hit regardless which many acts have proven. That said i agree that handling a release well can also help a hit song, all the lovers timing was great, its promo everything was well lined and it is one of kylies biggest selling hits.

I actually agree with you. Acts like Kylie need to try harder. I still think she can get a hit/top 10 with the first single of an album but thats about it. She needs to stop releasing the safe pop/dance tracks and release something that stands out. Even though I like Get outta my way and Better than today, they just didnt stand out as great tracks compared to what is out there.
