Posted April 21, 201213 yr Having heard that "Chasing Cars" by Snow Patrol reached 200K plays on the radio and is a regular returnee to the chart......what other songs will never fade and die? "I gotta feeling" by Black Eyed Peas seems to be another one, three years on and still around like a bad smell. Any more examples and why do you think this is? Personally, I think it's because the radio playlists are managed by faceless suits who have deals with record companies hence repeat offenders.
April 21, 201213 yr My thread may be a good example of some of the biggest airplay songs of the last 10 years that never went away - http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=141340 Edited April 21, 201213 yr by Dannyboy
April 22, 201213 yr Depends on the level of the chart. Look at the Rock chart: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/chart/rocksingles , filled with archive hits. I think you need to sell something like 5 copies to get on the rock chart. Sex on Fire Use Somebody I Got a Feeling ...The obvious ones. But really any classic song with exposure or a discount that makes people think 'I haven't heard that in ages' can make it to chart. Edited April 22, 201213 yr by Paramore
