Having heard that "Chasing Cars" by Snow Patrol reached 200K plays on the radio and is a regular returnee to the chart......what other songs will never fade and die?

"I gotta feeling" by Black Eyed Peas seems to be another one, three years on and still around like a bad smell.

Any more examples and why do you think this is?

Personally, I think it's because the radio playlists are managed by faceless suits who have deals with record companies hence repeat offenders.

'Moves Like Jagger' will be a constant radio hit. Perfect pop song.

Depends on the level of the chart. Look at the Rock chart: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/chart/rocksingles , filled with archive hits. I think you need to sell something like 5 copies to get on the rock chart.

Sex on Fire

Use Somebody

I Got a Feeling

...The obvious ones.

But really any classic song with exposure or a discount that makes people think 'I haven't heard that in ages' can make it to chart.
