Just have to remember that when Into The Groove is certified Platinum, the OCC has the 80s figures at 838K (based on the 562K post 1994 figure they accidentally posted) which will put it at 1.438M on their end.

Like clockwork! Now at 1.438M.

Last month I commented at UKmix that I was disappointed the Madonna only had 2 automatic BPI certs in 2025.

In the first few weeks of 2026, Madonna has had 2 automatic certs with the BPI!

What may be coming next:

Music Week had an article in March 2015 about Madonna's top selling singles in the UK. Here's the Top 12:

Madonna's UK Best Sellers:

1. Into The Groove (1985) SALES: 871,300 - Platinum in 1/26 for 600,000

2. Like A Virgin (1984) SALES: 826,700 - Gold in 1/85: old cert levels: 500,000

3. Crazy For You (1985, 1991) SALES: 775,000 - Gold in 9/85: old cert levels: 500,000

4. Holiday (1984, 1985, 1990) SALES: 709,40 - Platinum in 6/25 for 600,000

5. Papa Don’t Preach (1986) SALES: 645,000 - Gold in 8/86: old cert levels: 500,000

6. Hung Up (2005) SALES: 617,000 - Platinum 2x Single in 11/24: 1,200,000,000

7. Like A Prayer (1989) SALES: 593,300 - Platinum 2x Single in 10/24: 1,200,000,000

8. True Blue (1986) SALES: 556,900 - Silver in 10/86: old cert levels: 250,000

9. Frozen (1998) SALES: 551,400 - Platinum in 3/19: 600,000

10. Beautiful Stranger (1999) SALES: 532,500 - Platinum in 6/24: 600,000

11. Vogue (1990) SALES: 530,000 - Platinum in 10/25: 600,000

12. 4 Minutes FT Justin Timberlake (2008) SALES: 507,000 - Platinum in 7/18: 600,000

(Singles that have been automatically certified by the BPI are in bold.)

Posters at Buzz Jack have estimated that LAV should be updated to Platinum in 2026.

LAV is probably eligible for 2xP, but Warner won't certify anything manually with the BPI. Only automatic certs...

Finally Enough Love re-enters the UK Albums Chart at #100 after not appearing in it for over a year.

Much rather Celebration be the one to get this (like this surely is the actual album whats getting most streams) but I’ll take any Madonna album reappearing in the charts!

I agree if the streams were going to Celebration it would have been another million selling album of hers by now.

Wonder if this means the streams will be added back to Celebration?

I’m not going to get too excited but this would be well overdue if so! Don’t get me wrong the remix album is great but I don’t think even stans stream it on the regular if they’re streaming her hits. Would love to see Celebration back!

Yeah I’d welcome it back too. Finally Enough Love is Platinum now and Madonna’s about to kick off a new era so would be nice to see an actual greatest hits charting. Be cool to see Celebration go 3x Platinum and later a “million seller” in a few years too.

Interestingly as well on Friday Finally Another Love spent its 59th week top 100 in the UK overtaking what Celebration (58 weeks) has achieved so far! Now is the time.

i guess it's up to the record label to decide where the streams go, right? or is still in place that rule about the best selling Compilation/album in physical and digital format receiving the streaming points that week?

I really wish Celebration would receive those streams. This way, it would constantly be in the top 100, i believe.

It’s both I think. The record label can choose but if they don’t then it automatically goes to the album with most actual sales. Although this has come into question after Michael Jackson’s steams flip flopped between two compilations the other week when one was released on vinyl.

Up to #92 this week, 60 weeks in the Top 100.

I guess the streams aren't going to go to Celebration 🫤. Oh well
