'Celebration' re-enters the midweeks at #84! I'm guessing all the streams have gone to this collection over 'The Immaculate Collection' as it currently has more pure sales (it re-entered the Top 100 on iTunes although has now slipped behind 'TIC' again).

"Holiday" is now certified Platinum in the UK! @Liam.k.

It’s a shame that we have so many legendary artists who are under-certified because much of their sales pre 1994 aren’t recognised.

The album charts are a complete and utter mess. Why can't they go to the album they're actually streamed off!? But yay?

'Like a Prayer' is Platinum! :o

That's 600k sales since 1994. Add the estimated 412k for its 1989 sales brings its total to 1.012m.

'The Immaculate Collection' is #98 on the album chart and also achieves a new peak of #90 on the album streaming chart.

Strangely enough, 'Celebration' is also #86 on the album download chart - I would have expected that to be the album charting on the overall album chart if its achieved higher pure sales.

^ so true

Is this data just on sales or with streaming too?

'The Immaculate Collection' shifted 1,250 at #98, 1,166 from streaming, leaving 84 copies from physicals and downloads.

'Celebration' sold either 55 or 56 copies to appear at #86 on the download chart.

It's sold 166k since August 2019 (when it had sold 434k since 1994) which works out as 8.3k a month and 99.6k a year, much higher than the 67k yearly average that was given in 2019 too. That suggests the yearly averages for her other singles have gone up too, however assuming they all sold at the same rate, this is what her Top 10 would look like now:

01 1,050,000 Into the Groove

02 999,000 Like a Virgin

03 987,000 Holiday

04 971,000 Like a Prayer

05 841,000 Crazy for You

06 807,000 Hung Up

07 771,000 Papa Don't Preach

08 729,000 Vogue

09 706,000 4 Minutes

10 659,000 True Blue

Given 'Like a Prayer' is actually on 1.012m, I think we can safely assume 'Like a Virgin' and 'Holiday' are over 1m too.

What an incredible top 10, i have loved how it has changed throughout the years !

Beautiful Stranger & Frozen no longer featuring. True Blue has dropped the most.

After LAP is vogue and hung up her most streamed?

In 2019, the Official Charts Company revealed 'Hung Up' was second but 'Vogue' only came in at ninth! :o That's less than 'Bitch I'm Madonna' which was seventh - I wonder how many chart sales it's achieved, could potentially be as many as 100k!

https://www.officialcharts.com/chart-news/m...ed-songs__8646/

Vogue did not even used to be in her top 10, its climbed to number 8 so it isn't doing that badly.

Could that be because Vogue doesn't feature on a studio album which I assume people seek out to listen to moreso?

I'm not sure, it appears in her Top 10 most (daily) listened to on Spotify and is 4th on the This Is Madonna playlist, which I think people will check out more than specific albums.

This is the 2019 list of Madonna's Top 10 most streamed with the 2015 list positions in brackets:

01. (01) Like a Prayer

02. (06) Hung Up

03. (03) Material Girl

04. (08) La Isla Bonita

05. (05) 4 Minutes

06. (02) Like a Virgin

07. (14) Bitch I'm Madonna

08. (09) Holiday

09. (04) Vogue

10. (10) Papa Don't Preach

I think the 2019 list includes video streams as well as audio which may explain why 'La Isla Bonita' and 'Bitch I'm Madonna' both moved up the list. I can accept that the other songs that place above 'Vogue' are considered more relevant today by general audiences, even though us fans would still recognise 'Vogue' as one of Madonna's most defining hits. I dare say the lengthy intro makes it not very "Spotify-friendly" too.
