April 28, 201213 yr There should be at least two Tory Cabinet vacancies soon with the departure of Hunt and Lansley. Theresa May is also not off the hook yet over the Abu Qatada fiasco. Cameron has not yet had an unforced Cabinet reshuffle. The longer that goes on, the longer junior ministers and ambitious backbenchers will get frustrated at the lack of opportunity so he probably needs to act fairly soon. Until this week the assumption was that he would act after the Olympics because he wanted to move Hunt to Health. That looks rather less likely now so he may have a significant reshuffle before the summer recess. When it comes the reshuffle may highlight some potential leadership contenders at least for a contest after the next election.
April 29, 201213 yr Why do you think Cameron is so keen to hold on to Hunt? Hunt has lost his human shield. Cameron doesn't want to lose his. That is very true, just why is he so reluctant for an independent inquiry? What I would like to know was the actual reasoning behind Hunt's decision to allow the takeover bid despite ALL of the independent advice/research from Ofcom suggesting otherwise.
May 10, 201213 yr Leveson has stated again that it his not his job to determine whether Hunt broke the ministerial code. Over to you Mr Cameron.
