Posted April 25, 201213 yr Last week Olly Murs was at #1 in Germany and also a new entry at #99 for One Direction with What Makes You Beautiful This week it's Rebecca Ferguson's turn with a new entry at #64 with Nothing's Real But Love
April 25, 201213 yr Rebecca's success has been very average to what I expected. She's charting in alot of places but in very 'meh' positions, and in the UK it looks like she's going to have one top 100 single to her name. :\ Edited April 25, 201213 yr by shadow2009
April 25, 201213 yr awwwww damn i thought you meant Rebecca Black! Much better artist in my opinion. :)
April 25, 201213 yr She's not charting in the UK because Radio aren't getting onboard. Absolutely ridiculous that they will support 1D and Cher Lloyd, which in comparison terrible music. Glitter and Gold has number 1 written all over it.
April 25, 201213 yr It's a sad state of affairs when people are disappointed that news about the sublime Rebecca Ferguson isn't about a one-hit wonder that didn't even manage to get a hit.
April 26, 201213 yr That's what surprises me about Rebecca - how UK radio has overlooked her. I thought at first, it was a problem with the 2nd single but G&G is a fab song, shame radio isn't picking it up. Let's see how the US embraces her.
April 26, 201213 yr Am I wrong in thinking Rebecca Ferguson is the highest-selling (album wise) amongst Matt Cardle, One Direction & Cher Lloyd. 'Nothing's Real But Love' was a great track - and 'Glitter & Gold' is perfect for the radio; just hoping Simon won't drop her - there's so much potential for her records to become radio classics.

In terms of albums it's One Direction > Rebecca > Matt > Cher I'd say all four have under performed, though.
May 21, 201213 yr I'm noticing she's holding up well on the Australian iTunes. Heaven has been holding at 10 for 2 days now, and NRBL is also top 20 (thanks to someone who performed it on The Voice).
May 29, 201213 yr She delivered a fairly nervous performance of NRBL on the Today Show in the US, her first TV appearance but looks like it was well received. The single is today's (this week's?) free single on iTunes, and the album is currently at #17 on iTunes (quite a good/high start for her!). She's got some more promo lined up (Jay Leno show, and the other show with the 5 ladies inc. Whoopi, can't remember the name). As for the ARIA charts, Heaven is up 14 places to #28 and NRBL reaches a new peak of #14.
June 1, 201213 yr Doing well in the US iTunes album chart... been yo-yo'ing between 8 - 12 the last 3 days. That should hopefully be good for a Top 30 debut on the BB 200?
