Oh I know, I was just a little amused that you committed to today for the results with a 'last delay, promise!' when you said you had so much on this week!

I think I may have to push it to after the interview, maybe Saturday night. Way too much important shit going down right now.

For a PwC interview I'm pretty sure BJSC can wait lol!! Good job on landing it - now you just gotta nail it!
I'm absolutely bricking it! Thank you! I guessed of all people you'd appreciate how terrifying an interview with them would be. How is your accounting job going? You're doing the ACCA aren't you?

PricewaterhouseCoopers. They are an Accounting firm and member of the 'big4' audit firms who between them make enough money to be a G8 member if they were economies. They are actually the largest professional services firm in the world with revenues of nearly $30bn!

OMG :o Yep I've heard of them now! Good luck with that, fingers crossed!

In Manchester? Any idea where is nice to eat/open at 10/11pm on Oxford St/Rd? I'm staying at the Holiday Inn there.

Yeah I think I was only just starting ACCA last time we spoke - now approaching my third & fourth exams :-S Been an accountant for four years now which is mental - starting to get some pretty cool internatioanl clients though so, yeah, I'm enjoying it!

You going to be doping ACCA/equivelent at PwC?

Wow! 4 years already! You got a specialist area or have you got a nice mix of clients?

I'll be doing the ATT then fingers crossed onto the CTA (Association of Taxation Technicians then become a Chartered Tax Advisor) as I'm going down the Tax route rather than Assurance because Auditing bored the hell outta me at Uni.

lol Yeah mental right!! I've got a couple of areas I do a lot, SAR (auditing solicitors) and I'm working with a couple of EU clients expanding into the UK which is quite exciting! I'm at a nice medium sized firm which means I can choose a few different avenues to go down :)

Oo yeah! My mate's just done his first ATT exam! It's looks pretty daunting in my opinion lol but I'm a bit taxophobic! I'll take audit anyday!! Much prefer getting out of the office and getting my hands dirty :)

Has this conversation got reeaallllyy boring yet haha??

Given Accountancy seems to be the focus of this conversation, I'm inclined to say you can and will cope with far superior levels of boredom!

I do think you should probably take it to PM guys, but I guess you have now :kink:

If you like Italian food (which I do!!! ) then there's a restaurant called Don Giovanni's on Oxford Road - not far from the tram station near Central Library.

Although if you're by yourself it's probably not so good an idea. If that's the case there's McDonalds, or Subway on Portland Street.

I suppose if you're more into "Burger & A Beer" deals there's always The Paramount or Alibi which are next door to each other.

Edit; if you're willing to walk up to Princess Street, Buffet City is heaven. There's another Chinese restaurant on Portland Street but can't remember the name. :drama: Oh, and China Town is up there too. :D

So yes, plenty of options.

It's a bloody dull line of work, but the world is never going to fail to find a need for them. The rich are always going to want to hide their money.

*Salvates* I adore Italian food and that place looks outstanding.

Thanks for the recommendations! Most of these places still open really late yeah? No doubt it'll end up being a Macca's :(

It is gorgeous. Everyone I know who's eaten there has also recommended it. :D

I'm not entirely sure of the closing times for some of the other places to be honest. :( I think Buffet City close at 10pm so that's a no go, and I've not been to China Town in ages so again wouldn't know of their closing times. Ever tried sushi? I have. It's...interesting!!! :D

However, you can't beat a McChicken sandwich with large fries and a Coke.

It's all about a 1/4lb-er for me. Agree with the Fries an Coke though!

Thanks for the recommendations! Got plenty of time to explore on Friday as I've never properly been to Manchester before. The only other three times I've been there twice was to visits god's house (Old Trafford) the other was for a PwC thing

No Strawberry Milkshake fans here then? :nocheer: And I'm a Big Mac guy. With extra gherkins
