August 8, 201212 yr Author i'll raise you INDEPENDENT WOMAN and nothing more unlike cater 2 u, i prefer my women to look after number one and i will seal that with an mmm hmm and a finger snap
August 8, 201212 yr Independent Woman is good but just gonna boring in the end T B H. The production on Cater 2 U  In terms of Destiny's Child output I would definitely rank Soldier, Girl, or T-Shirt just below Cater 2 U I think. I'm totally obsessed with Destiny Fulfilled. I think that's maybe one of my favorite albums ever. EDIT: I really need to do a Top 50 Pop songs of the 2000s or something. Feelin so inspired right now. I could definitely handle that.
August 8, 201212 yr Author the only single you basic left out was lose my breath :o no hate for it pls! that production just makes me wanna strut mmmm
August 8, 201212 yr Lose My Breath is def good. That whole album is stellar but that's just the weaker single if you ask me. I love Michelle in it actually which is rarer Also literally just remembered "We Break the Dawn" exists, time to revisit that right now.
August 8, 201212 yr 'All in Me' is an interesting choice for your favourite sip of Brandy (OKAY I'll never use that expression again), but I suppose it does go with the whole 'warm and supportive' feel you've just been advocating. Full Moon's first half is practically flaw-free anyway, even if my absolute faves are from the NSN era. (Also Night of the Swallow + Top of the World = <3)
August 8, 201212 yr Roberta Flack - I Told Jesus Kate Bush - Night of the Swallow Brandy - All in Me Joanna Newsom - Sawdust & Diamonds Mariah Carey - Always Be My Baby Melanie - Ring the Living Bell Antony and the Johnsons - I Fell in Love With a Dead Boy United Sacred Harp Convention - The Last Words of Copernicus (112) (Field Recording From Alan Lomax's Southern Journey) Dolly Parton - I Will Always Love You Nina Simone - Dambala Xiu Xiu - I Luv the Valley OH! Tracy Chapman - Fast Car Bjork - Undo Aaliyah - 4 Page Letter The Cure - Lullaby Dock Boggs - Sugar Baby Destiny's Child - Cater 2 U Dixie Chicks - Top of the World Joe Hisaishi - The Dragon Boy John Jacob Niles - The Hangman Missy Elliott - Get Ur Freak On I started making a big list to narrow down and realized I couldn't possibly do this. Roberta Flack is probably my #1 though... Great taste in vocalists. Although, Mariah doesn't float my dinghy. Edited August 8, 201212 yr by tonyttt31
August 8, 201212 yr Roberta Flack - I Told Jesus Dolly Parton - I Will Always Love You Missy Elliott - Get Ur Freak On Missy Elliott has so many songs that are better than Get Ur Freak On, on 'Miss E.... So Addictive' alone actually! Yay for another Dolly mentioning though  . She would also be in my top20 of all time albeit with different song. With Roberta Flack I think my favorite is 'The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face'.
August 8, 201212 yr My list is all reasonably new and female filled, so very generic Buzzjack stuff right here, however for me, although I love music that makes you want to dance, most of my ALL TIME favourite are slower songs because they actually have deep meaning and I just can't imagine having an all time favourite song that was just FUN with nothing behind it: 1. Christina Aguilera - Hurt 2. Janis Joplin - Summertime 3. Joss Stone - Daniel 4. Adele - Hometown Glory 5. Beyonce - Halo 6. Sugababes - Too Lost In You 7. Ludovico Einaudi - I Giorni 8. Destiny's Child - Bootylicious 9. Amy Winehouse - Back To Black 10. Alicia Keys - Fallin' 11. Roberta Flack - First Time Ever I Saw Your Face 12. TLC - No Scrubs 13. Sam Sparro - Black & Gold 14. Jessie J - Who You Are 15. Birdy - Shelter 16. Beyonce - Love On Top 17. Michael Jackson - Earth Song 18. Kelly Rowland - Stole 19. Rihanna - Unfaithful 20. Emeli Sande - Heaven
August 9, 201212 yr DJ Tim:E Top 20 Of All Time Britney Toxic hahahaha I love this post so much and it's pretty true I guess 'All in Me' is an interesting choice for your favourite sip of Brandy (OKAY I'll never use that expression again), but I suppose it does go with the whole 'warm and supportive' feel you've just been advocating. Full Moon's first half is practically flaw-free anyway, even if my absolute faves are from the NSN era. (Also Night of the Swallow + Top of the World = <3) I just love the production on All in Me so much. It's so sporadic and euphoric but it all is tied together really wonderful by Brandy's vocals. She's easily one of my favorite voices in RnB music
August 9, 201212 yr I'm glad someone else likes "Cater 2 U" this much, it is rather beautiful and sweet! I always thought I was alone in my love for it, but it's probably in my top 3 (with Bills, Bills, Bills and...Girl) by them. So twinkly and melodic. <3 I also agree with the love for "All In Me". I've given the old Brandy albums a couple of listens and it was easily the strongest album track I discovered. (Focus, Sadiddy, I Tried and I Thought are all pretty good too) My favourite will always be "The Boy Is Mine" though. Best song ever.
August 9, 201212 yr Great to see some love for 'Always Be My Baby', I loved early Mariah so much and that's definetly one of her standout tracks. Her voice and the production is so smooth and just ... NICE?! One of my all time faves too probably . As for Destiny's Child ... it's all about 'Say My Name', 'Bug A Boo' and 'Bills, Bills, Bills' tbh.
August 9, 201212 yr My Top 20 would probably consist of the following; Alicia Keys - Unthinkable (I'm Ready) All Saints - Pure Shores Avril Lavigne - I'm With You Brandy - Afrodisiac Britney Spears - Everytime Christina Aguilera - Dirrty Janet Jackson - Together Again Justin Timberlake - Like I Love You Kelly Clarkson - Sober Mariah Carey - Always Be My Baby Missy Elliott - Pass That Dutch Natasha Bedingfield - Unwritten Nelly Furtado - Try Nicki Minaj - Super Bass No Doubt - Don't Speak Pink - Just Like A Pill Rihanna - Umbrella TLC - Waterfalls Usher - Burn Whitney Houston - I Wanna Dance With Somebody

EDIT: I guess Kanye and Ne-Yo are on the Keri Hilson song and I've just been informed by Google that Cody Simpson is a guy so there's a few more there than I thought :P Oh there's no denying that my taste is mainly female-oriented  Quite a few males nowadays but a lot are too recent to include (or just missed out like Justin Bieber's As Long As You Love Me which would definitely be in the next few I'd add). Tom Odell - Another Love is one I'd probably include here soon enough <3
