I love old school R&B and (without wanting to sound like an old turd) I really MISS hits like these :

Lil' Flip & Lea - Sunshine

Fabolous & Ashanti - Into You

Fabolous, P. Diddy & Jagged Edge - Trade It All

Also love all the duets between Ja Rule & Ashanti, P. Diddy's I Need a Girl pt. 1 & 2 and MANY more.

When it's Summer I always go back to old school R&B. Also love your choices Jack, especially Creep.

These are also great!

Fabolous Into You defines R&B classic

For me I'd include

Toni Braxton - Breathe Again

Michelle Gayle - Sweetness

Sweetbox - Everythings Gonna Be Alright

Dina Carroll - Escaping

Kandi - Don't Think I'm Not

Everything by Eternal

Definetly agree with 'Don't Think I'm Not' and completely forgot about 'Sunshine' too ... was always surprised that wasn't bigger than it was, still, what a tune!

Fabolous "Into You"? Hell no. Tamia's original "Into You" from 1998 is amazing and way better than that half assed version.

Fabolous's So Into You is amazing (and most definitely NOT "half-assed").

I remember it re-entering the chart earlier this year for some reason. It's the most beautiful song ever. I don't like calling it old-school though, since I was in senior school when the song was popular, I'm not that old. :(

YES YES YES.

Some more:

I can't believe I forgot to mention one of my favorites : Lil' Kim (ft. P. Diddy) - No Time.

I love how this video uses the amended lyrical version but still alot of the lyrics are faded out. Obviously the album version is the way to go because one of Kim's attractions is her downright nastiness.

Its parent album 'Hard Core' is one of my favorites to play after coming home from a night out.

If you look at my chart in the personal charts, you'll see that the majority of my songs are retro R&B :)
And she's hotter now than she was 10 years ago. This remix is tight minus that "rapper" dude.

Yeah, I loved that remix! It was like the first English-language version of the song I heard aswell. It would've been cool for her if they ended up using that as the official remix, but they ended up using ones from Erik Hassle and Kanye West instead.
