Posted May 19, 201213 yr TmwpBBMk7wI&feature=related How do you think this charity single written by Gary Barlow for the Jubilee will do sales wise. The video above is of "Sing (International Version) (feat. Military Wives)" The whole track listing below 1. Sing (International Version) (feat. Military Wives) 2. Sing (GB Version) 3. Here Comes the Sun 4. Amazing Grace (feat. Hayley Westenra) 5. Stronger As One (feat. Laura Wright) 6. Land of Hope and Glory (feat. Alfie Boe & Military Wives) 7. God Save the Queen (National Anthem) (feat. Laura White) What do you think of it, I personally don't like the fact that Military Wives are getting another #1 to their name :puke: The GB (Gary Barlow) version is much better but I can't find it on Youtube. I think it'll do 101k - 200k on its first week and sell just under 300k in total
May 19, 201213 yr I voted 75-100k first week and up to 300k overall. I actually hope it bombs. Hate everything to do with the Jubilee and if there is a popstar more up his own backside that Gary Barlow I've yet to see him.
May 19, 201213 yr Gary or Robbie are both just as bad. Yes I agree. Gary has gotten worse with age tho and caught Robbie up :) It's like they have become these national institutions that you can't say anything bad about. The whole thing makes me want to :puke2: Pity coz I do like a lot of Take That's music over the years.
May 19, 201213 yr 101k to 200k, realistically around 160k, it will fall drastically the week after, it probably lose about 80%, with all the Jubilee celebrations are over, so I can't see it toppling over 500k, most likely 400k
May 19, 201213 yr Oh God!! Why are we celebrating this? 60 yrs for doing sod all...hope we copy what the Russians did, especially the way they disposed of their royal family ;)
May 19, 201213 yr Is this actually eligible for the singles chart? 7 different songs (well 6 as one is an alternative version). Not sure what the rules are now but it's almost like a mini album.
May 21, 201213 yr 50-75k first week and 100-200k overall. I just can't see there being a massive backing for this, I was proven horribly wrong with "Wherever You Are" but I'm counting on it not happening again.
May 21, 201213 yr Who knows how this will go, it will either be a massive selling number 1 or it will be disappointing. Sales will remain high in the second week though as it is being performed first at the Gary Barlow jubilee concert It will be released internationally as well so sales wise it should do well over there cos most countries in europe, asia and america love the royal family
May 21, 201213 yr Cant really see it been an international hit, it will be a fly by hit though as in do well for a short period and probably fall fast.
May 21, 201213 yr Possibly, but if it is being broadcast all around the world it wouldnt take many of the overall audience to download a copy for it to be a big hit. Cant see its sales extending past 2 weeks though
May 21, 201213 yr ya definitely a 2 weeks wonder and a huge trail off but should open on decent sales, interesting to see if it will outsell Shame in the UK.
May 21, 201213 yr Didnt Shame sell just over 200k in the UK? It's certified Silver anyways...is there promo lined up next week?
May 22, 201213 yr Oh God!! Why are we celebrating this? 60 yrs for doing sod all...hope we copy what the Russians did, especially the way they disposed of their royal family ;) NOT chart related. Go and have a republican rant in Perspectives with GRIMLY. " ;) "
May 22, 201213 yr I can see it's first week sales being 160k with the overall sales reaching just over 300k.
May 22, 201213 yr Is this actually eligible for the singles chart? 7 different songs (well 6 as one is an alternative version). Not sure what the rules are now but it's almost like a mini album. I was thinking the same. If ppl buy the full EP (whether digital or CD), it will be appearing on the albums chart.
