I wouldn't say one is any more novelty than the other? I'd say they're both very novelty (like a lot of their songs - 'Air Hostess' in paritcular) but Year 3000 is just worse.

Year 3000 is an ANTHEM, one of my favourite songs when I was younger. What I Go To School For is alright as well but Year 3000 brings back so many memories.

Year 3000 has a slightly more imaginative theme than What I Go To School For :kink: (I use the term 'imaginatively' VERY loosely here!

I was never that bothered about this year, not bad results for the most part

Ugh Scooter can piss off -_- Shame that shit got through and Mary J, Ashanti and Natalie missed out but I can't complain because I like all the other qualifiers!
Days Go By should have done better!

I nominated it and I'm surprised it did so well. I thought it was a bit forgotten

As with the 2003 game 9 of the songs which qualified were in the final last year but finished in the bottom 15.

None of the other 6 songs which fell out were nominated again this year. They were: Atomic Kitten 'The Tide Is High', Avril Lavigne 'Sk8r Boi', Britney Spears 'I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman', Foo Fighters 'All My Life', Jennifer Lopez 'Aint It Funny' and Liberty X 'Got To Have Your Love'

Of the 6 that replace them this year only Nickelback and Scooter were nominated last year. 'The Logical Song' finished 17th and was one point away from qualifying, whilst 'How You Remind Me' finished 37th, a position much more fitting.

For Theo, 'The Ketchup Song' was in the final the first time this was ran in 2006 as it was one of the biggest sellers of 2002 but finished 47th, the only other time it was nominated was in 2010 where it finished 24th in the play-off.
