But it manages to keep us discussing Eurovision a MONTH after the contest. :D
I don't think it was an amazing winner, at least not in the grand scheme of things, but it's one of the best entries from a terrible year and probably the most deserving winner.

Imaani?! Then again, I can kind of understand it being here if Euphoria is considered a "horror" as both songs are almost equally as profound and magnificent as each other.

I have to say I do find Molitva a tad overrated, but it is far from a terrible song. I would have preferred Verka to win in 2007.

I suppose you have a point that it was a terrible year, but the song is such a dull ballad. The only reason I remembered it slightly come the results, is because I thought she was a man until I looked online. I take no shame in saying I much preferred Verka, and less shamefully, Serebro.

2007 was awful, I love only Scooch and Dervish from this year. Maybe 2007 and 1988 are my least favourite years in ESC history.

Why am I not surprised. (Not that I dislike them, as I loved Scooch)

As for Molitva, it's not the best winner (should've been Russia) but in 2007 it could've been a lot worse.

Oh Molitva was so crap. I missed a f***load of this thread (nearly cried at Svetlana) but Molitva I agree with.

Oh I LOVE Mamo but I can see why loads of people hate it, so I'll let you off on that one.

That said with each passing result I'm actually quite scared there'll be a Euphoria victory, which truly IS utterly blinkered. I mean, I could just about understand someone not liking Euphoria, but I really don't see how it could be said AT ALL to be the worst Eurovision song of the last 56 years, especially given some of the utterly tuneless horrors we've had like Probka.
