May 27, 201213 yr I watched it when it was on BBC last Monday night, it was very interesting but I thought that it felt very one-sided. I would have liked it to explore the positives of both sides as well, and not just the negatives of one side. Still very interesting though! :D Edited May 27, 201213 yr by Ryan741
May 27, 201213 yr I stopped watching when they blamed Eurovision for the Cold War :drama: Or was that another show? Edited May 27, 201213 yr by Toby
May 27, 201213 yr I really enjoyed this. It didn't need to show 'the other side'. Exactly what is the silver lining to human rights abuses? Oh they have those pretty flame towers..... :manson:

Oh they have those pretty flame towers..... :manson: I know what you mean, but surely there must be one positive that the current Government is bringing to the country? But then again maybe not, but I would still liked to have seen something about 'the other side'. I don't know, it just felt too one-sided but I get what you mean. Still very interesting though!
May 27, 201213 yr I watched this earlier after wanting to know what Graham Norton meant about Loreen being the only contestant to speak out about the human rights in Azerbaijan and it's truly awful! I told my mum about it too, and it makes you think how lucky we are to have a safe, equal society. A balanced argument would've been disgusting to show against it.
May 27, 201213 yr It's a documentary about human rights abuses, the point is to highlight them, not talk about whatever great things the Azeri government is doing. There is no positive that can come as a result of them - a government can be effective without denying democracy and abusing its people.
