I haven't seen a thread for this yet so here goes...

What songs from 2004 to 2012 (or 1993/1996 technically speaking) deserved to make the Final but will be forever condemned to languish in flopsville!

Before everyone else says it:

Norway 2011 (Stella Mwangi - Haba Haba)

Not Sweden's finest moment shall we say:

Sweden 2010 (Anna Bergendahl - This Is My Life)

And a few for DEH EUROGAIS!

Belgium 2006 (Kate Ryan - Je T'adore)

Andorra 2008 (Gisela - Casanova)

Montenegro 2009 (Andrea Demirović - Just get out of my life)

Any other suggestions? Also, what would 2012's unjust Semi Flop be?

2012's prize for best DNQ has to be between Finland and Slovenia IMO (Maybe the Netherlands but I think that performance pretty much sealed her fate!)

Slovenia is probably the most disappointing in how it performed in the semi, such a good song didn't deserve to come second last by any stretch of the imagination, but Bulgaria was more heartbreaking just by how close it came. We love you so much Sofi.

And why has no-one mentioned Anastasia Vinnikova yet? That was far more heartbreaking than Stella from 2011, I never cared THAT much for Haba Haba, but I Love Belarus was quite honestly one of the best songs that year and deserved a lot better (although I suppose I never expected it to qualify in the first place).

Two amazing Cypriot entries!

I'm sure GD will know who I'm thinking of. The year we sent Andy Abraham, the UK selection process included a girlgroup whose entry was quite Amy Winehouse/Duffy and would've probably been far more successful at Eurovision.

Oh, and BWO 'Temple Of Love' from 2006 even though the majority of Buzzjackers lived and loved 'Invinsible'.

Is it The Revelations who you are thinking about Hits? I think their song was called 'It's You'.

Those were national finals. This is about the semi finals...

(You're thinking of The Revelations)

Also Firefly was DULL SHIT

I loved Firefly so much!

Surely you must like Comme Ci, Comme Ca? That should definitely have qualified!

I bloody LOVE Comme ci comme ca, but Firefly was terrible. 2007 was an EN MASSE SLAUGHTER though, thanks to the sodding autoqualifiers.

Glad to hear it (about Evridiki of course)! That was the year with 28 semi-finalists wasn't it? So glad we got away from that format with the 2 semi finals!

For me, all of these should definitely have made the final:

2004:

Belarus: Aleksandra & Konstantin - My Galileo

Estonia: Neiokõsõ - Tii

2005:

Austria: Global Kryner - Y Asi

Lithuania: Laura & The Lovers - Little By Little (Best Lithuanian entry to date and it came last, scandalous!)

Belarus: Angelica Agurbash - Love Me Tonight

Iceland: Selma - If I Had Your Love

Slovenia: Omar Naber - Stop

2006:

Slovenia: Anžej Dežan - Mr Nobody

Belgium: Kate Ryan - Je T'adore

Monaco: Séverine Ferrer - La Coco-Dance

Poland: Ich Troje feat. The Real McCoy - Follow My Heart

Estonia: Sandra Oxenryd - Through My Window

2007:

Cyprus: Evridiki - Comme ci, comme ça

Malta: Olivia Lewis - Vertigo

2008:

Belgium: Ishtar - O Julissi (I was SERIOUSLY gutted when this failed :( )

Switzerland: Paolo Meneguzzi - Era Stupendo

Bulgaria: Deep Zone - DJ Take Me Away

Malta: Morena - Vodka

2009:

Andorra: Susanne Georgi - La Teva Decisió

Ireland: Sinead Mulvey & Black Daisy - Et Cetera

Slovakia: Kamil Mikulčík and Nela - Let' Tmou

2010:

Finland: Kuunkuiskaajat - Työlki Ellää

Switzerland: Michael Von Der Heide - Il Pleut De L'or

Sweden: Anna Bergendahl - This Is My Life

Netherlands: Sieneke - Ik Ben Verliefd

Croatia: Feminnem - Lako Je Sve

2011:

Norway: Stella Mwangi - Haba Haba

2012:

Israel: Izabo - Time

Netherlands: Joan Franka - You And Me

Bulgaria: Sofi Marinova - Love Unlimited

Slovenia: Eva Boto - Verjamem

And Germany 1996!

I agree with lots of those ^^

Especially Malta 2008, Andorra 2009, Ireland 2009 and those I've already mentioned!

Poland 2009 - Lidia Kopania - "I Don't Wanna Leave".....this should have made the final easily!

Slovakia 2010 - Kristina - "Hoherohnie" - Gutted this missed out!

Netherlands 2005 - Glennis Grace - "My Impossible Dream" - Easily NL's best entry in the last ten years. Wonderful

Bulgaria 2011 - Poli Genova - "Na Inat" - She should have been top 5!

Portugal 2012 -Filipa - "Vida Minha" - Beautiful....absolutely beautiful.
