Remy confirmed to QPR.

Pep Guariola is the new Bayner Munich boss, from the summer! What are Chelsea going to do now?!

We may not see a few matches go ahead over the weekend with heavy snow being forecasted

Guess they'll be stuck with that fat spanish waiter as they call him

Dunno.. Mourinho will be out of a job in the summer (if not before). Can see them going back in for him, even if he leaves destruction wherever he goes!
I think Mourinho will leave Madrid in the Summer, but I'm not sure if I can see him going back to Chelsea. Man City will probably look to get rid of Mancini too, so it could be a straight fight between the two

He generally manages to leave a few trophies behind too.

As a long shot, Ferguson's decision on when to retire might depend in part on who is available as a successor. If both Guardiola and Mourinho had been expected to be available I wouldn't have been over-surprised to see him go at the end of this season. Even with only Mourinho likely to be looking for a job, I wouldn't rule it out.

Mourinho is a great manager, but his man management skills leave something to be desired. He really seems a love him or hate him guy. Every club he's managed has had good short term success, then shortly then imploded.

The next Manchester United manager will be decided by Alex Ferguson. He and he only. I don't think they'll go for a big name either

I expect the next manager to be someone like David Moyes. I think David Moyes is a terrific manager, he's done wonders at Everton.

Re: Pep going to Bayern, i really have no idea who Chelsea will hire as their manager, I would love if Jose ever returned, he should never have got the sack in the first place. I think it's about time to offload Torres, he's been a massive flop. Anything above 15million would be quite delightful.

Sunderland have put in a bid for Danny Graham, while Swansea are apparently wanting to sign Kenwyne Jones. Sunderland are also away to release Louis Saha, Saha should never have joined Tottenham, it's basically ended any hope he has off playing in the premiership.

It wouldn't surprise me if they hired David Moyes. Still he's been with Everton and won absolutely nothing, yet apparently he's a brilliant manager. Everton are just a well run club and have stability. It's like when Allardyce the other weekend said Ferguson, Wenger and perhaps Benitez had achieved more than him who was currently managing in the EPL. Bellends overhyped by the media because they've done ok with a small club.

Torres will go back to Spain, although I'd be surprised if you got any money for him. He'll need a bumper pay-off from you because he's still got 3/4 years left on his contract and he's on mega bucks. It'll be like the Joe Cole to West Ham move most likely.

Southampton have sacked Nigel Adkins. I hope they go down now.

David Moyes always strikes me as a manager that thrives on being the underdog

I remember last season when Everton were seen as the favourites before the FA cup semi-final and he didn't seem comfortable taking on that added pressure

Not sure that would translate well at Man United, who are always favourites and expected to win

Doesn't help that he's never won a trophy with Everton either. His name shouldn't even be mentioned in the same bracket as Ferguson or Wenger

I'd be quite happy for Southampton to go down now, I get replacing a manager who's done well if the replacement is someone who's clearly better, I just don't see how someone with a record that is, at the very best, decent and who cant' speak a word of English is better than Nigel Adkins. It's not like Pochettino was always who the chairman wanted like Alex McLeish was at Forest who were the last side to bizarrely sack their manager.

It doesn't always backfire, both Huddersfield and Sheffield Wednesday were promoted last season after sacking their managers whilst in the top 6. However it's hard to argue that replacing Gary Megson for Dave Jones is a step backwards, but if it wasn't for Ched Evans one or both probably wouldn't have gone up anyway.

The whole Pochettino thing is absolutely mind-boggling. Two back-to-back promtoions, unbeaten in five league games, complete backing of the fans even when in the relegation zone. Ludicrous. Surely the deal was done long before Adkins took his men on this little run of form but the board had gone too far down the line with Pochettino to do anything but sack Adkins. It's quite sad to think that with every point Southampton picked up from the last five league games (a point v Arsenal, a point at Stamford Bridge) the Southampton board were becoming ever more uncomfortable.

Espanyol were bottom when Pochettino got the sack too, good bit of business all round.

I'm not sure the deal was done before Southampton's unbeaten run but it was probably alm ost done and dusted ahead of the Chelsea game. It makes me wonder whether any other potential candidates had alreadyturned the job down - possibly on the grounds that they didn't want to accept a job when the position was not vacant.
adkins sacking was very unfair. a clueless decision by the southampton chairman which only he will know the real reasons

The FA have asked Alex Ferguson to clarify his comments made to the media. Bit odd seeing as Allardyce said practically the same thing and got a huge fine!

No apparent mention of Adkins in the Southampton programme notes tonight... seems like they're trying to forget he ever existed!

They're doing a good job in doing so. The whole team have put in a shift at home to Everton tonight. Lambert has ran Distin/Jagielka off the park.
They're good physically and can play to their strengths well on a limited budget, considering their resources I think they're a fantastic side. That being said they have some fucking abysmal players - Naismith and Anichebe being two who should be nowehere near the EPL.
"Jason Puncheon, he went for a shit" is my new favourite football chant of all time btw. Southampton fans singing it after Puncheon left the field for a few minutes to go back to the dressing room to relieve himself.

Amazing!
