#51 in the US this week and #22 On Itunes, this might actually be a pretty decent sized hit here, which is surprising as it doesnt really seem very US friendly, but then again neither was RITD, she really needs to film a video that could give her a huge boost if she does.
  • 2 weeks later...

She performed this on the VMAs last night, and it's currently sitting at #2 on US iTunes (although soon to be #1) behind Foster the People. Here's the performance:

It's obviously very similar to the BRITs performance (although she began ROTATING for us special UK audiences), and I would probably say vocally it's better, but it completely does the job anyway for her. I wouldn't be surprised if this became the US music video - it's not like she needs them!

Now #1 on US iTunes :D Hopefully she can net a second Hot 100 #1 or at least a second Digital Songs #1. It really depends on whether US radio are as receptive to it as they were for Rolling In The Deep.

Hopefully this will re-enter the UK top 40 again this week after the VMAs - has her performance been shown on UK TV yet?

I hear it on the radio over here all the time, and it seems to be increasing. They're picking it up after the hype of RITD.

This was vocally better, even though her voice sounded deeper and lower? I prefer the BRITs perfomance though, it was so much more emotional!

Vocally, I meant in terms of it staying more alike the studio recording, although I do agree that the BRITs performance was more emotional :)

Currently, SLY is still no. 1 on US iTunes - Adele could have a new no.1 on her hands !

So she's estimated the Hot 100 number 1? :o INSANE! :w00t:

It looks that way :) .... She was losing some ground yesterday to MLJ and PUK but today she stayed 'white' whilst those other two (with higher airplay than SLY) were in 'red'.

I use http://kworb.net/pop/ to see how the singles are going.

I hope she keeps her lead up until her airplay is at around 80 mil impressions (SLY is just below 40 mil AI)

Her live performance of this song is amazing!!
Someone like you is number 27 in the uk this week, i only seen the charts today and was happily surprised to see it so high.

SLY is predicted for #1? :o I thought her lowish airplay wouldn't be near enough to overtake Maroon 5! I really hope that's true. We'll find out on Wednesday I guess.

Hopefully another long stay at #1 is on the cards then as her lead on iTunes has recovered and her airplay is increasing rapidly :D

Kworb's (from pulse) updated prediction, as of yesterday:

1. Someone Like You (273 + 46 = 319)

2. Moves Like Jagger (200 + 90 = 290)

3. Pumped Up Kicks (213 + 73 = 286)

4. Party Rock Anthem (134 + 120 + 5 = 259)

5. Super Bass (102 + 117 = 219)

6. Yoü And I (176 + 43 = 219)

7. How To Love (114 + 101 = 215)

8. Lighters (97 + 106 = 203)

9. You Make Me Feel (155 + 47 = 202)

10. Cheers (142 + 58 = 200)

11. Give Me Everything (78 + 102 + 10 = 190)

12. Stereo Hearts (138 + 52 = 190)

13. Last Friday Night (61 + 124 = 185)

14. I Wanna Go (69 + 100 = 169)

15. Rolling In The Deep (80 + 76 = 156)

Billboard:

Adele's "21" posts a whopping 88% sales gain, though it holds at No. 3 (154,000) thanks to the singer's performance on the Aug. 28 MTV Video Music Awards. On the show, the diva sang the album's latest single,"Someone Like You," which also flies 11-1 on the Digital Songs chart with 275,000 (up 191%).

So that's that.

Now we just ned the confirmation from Hot 100.
