I don't mind about peak, as long as we get another 300k+ maybe 400k seller. Even if it doesn't go top 10 but sells huge amounts like Jason Mraz's two singles and various other songs which sold huge amounts but still missed top 10.

I also hope the radio get all over this. It's encouraging from Capital who seem to regularly post about them online and their goings on in America. They've also played 'Forever Is Over' and 'All Fired Up' a few times recently, so they would be willing to support and this is the perfect song to bring the support back.

What's taking them so long with the radio/music video premiere? It's the 26th of November and the song is supposed to be released in about six weeks! :o
I think they are aiming for a 14th or 21th January release. So they still have 2-3 weeks I would say to premiere the lyric video and later the official one, I reckon.

The worrying thing is that, it's been around for numerous months. I have around 5 versions on my computer, i'm slowly starting to off it, of course I will purchase the song. This single really needs to do well and be a hit in the UK.

I think they would be stupid to release the single full price in both the Uk. It really needs to be 59p, so many artists seem to be doing it these days and it's actually working. The last thing The Saturdays need is a [06-14-28-45-72-X] They need What About Us to at least have 7+ weeks top 40 and become relevant again. It seems everybody seems to be under performing these days (Girls Aloud, Little Mix & Stooshe)

The single surely needs to be sent to radio's next week though?

Not necessary, it could be in 2 weeks. It depends on which week they are releasing it. We'll see.

They are leaving for the US at the end of the month...So either they are doing it before that (so in the next few days) or they will do a call-the-radio thingy affair from the US...and since they can do that pretty much anytime they want, we can't really say when they will do it...

The girls said so?

It was reported that was the release date, i'm not 100% sure but it only fixes in with their E show, I don't think their management will be stupid enough to not have the single up for sale during their show!

I guess... But then is it being released at the same time in the UK or not?

Tracks get released on Sunday in the US? I thought it was like in the middle of the week? I don't follow much the US charts, ha!

Oh sorry, the track would be getting released in the US on January the 15th I guess then! I doubt they will be in the UK at the same time, I can see them promoting What About Us very little in the UK to be honest, I can see them doing all their promotion on the release week, which is quite frustrating as All Fired Up could have been much bigger had they kept promoting after the first week, I mean it shows 3-4-15 is quite poor!

Well regardless, in the US it won't peak during release week (thats if it is actually received well) so it really does not matter tbh.

True.

However, the song has been sent out to Mercury for remixing! So I guess we still have something to look for.

Someone posted clips on Popjustice for the Sean Paul features, but I'm too lazy to post it here.

Here is a bit of something. There is three different "tributes" (I Tunes covers) all scheduled for release on 31/12/12 yes I know it's a monday. So I would expect a release withing 6 weeks of that.

this is a bit of a mess now. We've got numerous edits and remixes over the Internet, and the song got performed for the first time 2 and a half months ago and we still don't know when it's getting a radio premiere, and the song is released next month.

On a positive note, though, it charted at #44 on the US Billboard Hot Club songs or something this week. :P

Hilary Duff has three #1's on the US Billboard Hot Dance Club songs or whatever they call it. In comparison on the actual Hot 100 (200 or whatever) the songs charted at 24, 97 and the last one missed the Top 200. So it basically has no baring on where it will chart in the Hot 100.

It's already been explained why it's not had a radio premier though, Mercury weren't fully happy with the finished version.

I don't really think it's a mess, if it's premiered next week, we will have 4+ weeks of airplay!

I wonder if it means something. I know some tributes were already avalaible on iTunes so it's not like tributes must wait until the official release of the original track to get released.

However, we know it will be released in January. They used to say early January, so I would expect the 20th January to be the final date for the song to get released.

4 weeks of airplay would be awful.
