He's a good sport ... Robbie Williams

By GORDON SMART, Showbiz Editor

Published: 21 hrs ago

ROBBIE WILLIAMS won’t be encouraging his daughter to play football.

His wife AYDA FIELD doesn’t want THEODORA ROSE (aka TEDDY) to have legs like a footballer.

He said: “Her mum doesn’t want that. She’s afraid that Teddy will get footballer legs like KARL-HEINZ RUMMENIGGE.

“She wants her to walk on yoga legs.”

The TAKE THAT star also admitted he’s been attending parenting groups with his American TV actress missus.

Robbie said: “You meet other parents there and talk about your experiences.

“I don’t know why I have to go there. But Ayda wants that. You probably earn parent points.”

It's never been a secret that Robbie Williams has struggled with depression and substance abuse during his career.

In a candid interview, the 39-year-old has admitted, when it comes to his performing, it can still be something of a 'Russian roulette.'

Different figures on different websites but approximately 40,000

Robbie Williams’ new single “Be a Boy” is released this Friday. He’s has been talking to Bauer about how he had very few friends other than the lads in Take That at the start of his career so when he left the band, he had to look for new friends which is how he came to hang out with the Gallagher brothers.

He said “I left school when I was 16 and off I went into Take That and those years 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 are your formative years when you learn to be a man and you develop proper friendships that last for life. Fortunately and unfortunately, I travelled around the world and left my roots. Take That was a very safe place to be and then all of a sudden I was in a very unsafe place, in London looking for friends. Basically, all I had were drug buddies at the time and I’m not pointing fingers because I was a drug buddy to them aswell. I had acquaintances that I knew but I wouldn’t call them friends and they wouldn’t call me a friend now. A lot of it was enjoyable and a lot of it took me to rehab. Who were my friends? I didn’t have many. I loved Oasis and I happened to know them and knock about with them for a little while – not too long. I don’t think I was their cup of tea. I think the exact words were I wasn’t “mod” so I didn’t gel with them and we stopped hanging out”.

You think he will sell 40,000 tickets there?

HUSH!

I think my sister doubts it but if he's sold 10,000, what's 30,000 more? :P

Many people find the tickets far to expensive, especially because Beyonce is coming to Zagreb in 2 weeks. Santana, Leonard Cohen, and Iron Maiden will all be here this summer and although I think Robbie only has a handful of crazy robsessed fans here, people will see him because they know he's a great showman. Radio stations love him as well. Unfortunately, apart from my best friend (Hot-Fudge if you remember her - she didn't post much though) and 2 more girls/women, I don't know anyone else who loves him so much.

I have to admit, I fear the possibility of him cancelling the concert. BUT IT WILL NOT HAPPEN.

:o :o :o

Surely not!

I thought he had loads of fans in the Balkans. Or have a lot of them already bought tickets for Vienna?

Surely not!

I thought he had loads of fans in the Balkans. Or have a lot of them already bought tickets for Vienna?

I don't know about other countries but yes, I know they love him in Serbia. He's popular in Hungary as well and it's not on the list for this tour, is it? I expect fans from Italy, Slovenia, Hungary, Serbia, and B&H. Perhaps also fans from Macedonia, Bulgaria, and Romania, since I can't remember the last time he visited those countries, if ever

Nada is going to see him in Vienna only. I know a woman who's seeing him either in Austria or Germany but is going to see him here as well. The concert did come as a surprise. It didn't sell in a day like it happened with the U2 concert, but that's kind of expected.

Opps !! replied in the wrong place

Ghostly meat-ings for Robbie

Who you gonna call? ... Robbie Williams and Meat Loaf plan to go on a ghost hunt

SUPERNATURAL nut ROBBIE WILLIAMS would do anything to spot ghosts and UFOs.

Now he’s got a new pal to help him do that – MEAT LOAF.

The pair have known each other for years and Meat is planning to take Rob on a hunt for CHARLIE CHAPLIN’s poltergeist.

He said: “Robbie should absolutely come ghost-hunting with me. There are so many places to go – we could head to the old A&M recording studios in LA. They think Charlie Chaplin’s down there.”

Meat, who starts his farewell tour in Newcastle on April 5, believes his body acts as a ghost doorway.

He said: “There are people they say are conduits, who are more open to it, and so this stuff’s been going on since I was a kid.

“I’ve seen my mother after she died and my grandmother. I talked to my mother, and she talked back.

“And I’m not crazy, but people would think, ‘He’s crazy’.”

Robbie Williams: My nan could be in Blur

Singer takes a pop at Alex James in latest rant

Apology is all a Blur ... Robbie Williams has had another pop at band

By GORDON SMART, Showbiz Editor

Published: 29th March 2013

ROBBIE WILLIAMS has dropped a bomb all over his latest mission to make peace with Britpop’s heroes.

The singer took aim at BLUR bassist ALEX JAMES during a themed edition of his Radio Rudebox that was designed to make amends for his recent rant against Nineties indie bands.

Robbie’s broadcast, from his website, was class.

It included tracks from top bands of the Nineties and opened with Animal Nitrate by SUEDE, who sparked his original moan.

But he singled out Alex for criticism after accusing The Sun columnist of “not being very nice to him”.

Robbie said: “Alex is the bassist in Blur — my nan could do that. All she needs is a new haircut.”

Granny rock ... Robbie reckons his nan could be in the band

He explained he first met the band during a TV show appearance in Manchester with TAKE THAT when he was just 16. Robbie said: “From what I now know, looking back, they were suffering from a little bit of middle-class angst.

“I did feel like I was part of the s*** beneath their shoes for being in a boyband.”

But he praised Alex’s bandmates, calling frontman DAMON ALBARN a “majestic songwriter”, and admitted “loving” some of guitarist GRAHAM COXON’s solo albums. He said drummer DAVE ROWNTREE would make a “great politician”.

He revealed intimate moments he shared with Britpop’s finest, including taking heroin with ELASTICA and reading poems to JARVIS COCKER at Glastonbury.

Robbie also answered criticism from bands he slagged off in his recent tirade, which defended investment in Nineties pop.

He felt particularly guilty after upsetting SHED SEVEN star RICK WITTER — who responded to Robbie’s tirade by tweeting: “We’ve had good chats in the past. What went horribly wrong?”

Robbie said: “I don’t want to upset him, he’s a nice guy. I’ve met you three times, Rick, we have chatted and we’re on a level. I’m sorry that I slagged your band off.”

Robbie insisted his “misguided blog” was just defending pop. He said: “There is a lot of snobbery towards pop music, to me and pop in general — it’s kind of a despised art form.

“There’s a lot of ‘Check out that fat ****, he’d be nothing without GUY CHAMBERS.’

“I’m coming from a place of, ‘Hang on, I’m being picked on here, I don’t like it.’”

Robbie Williams: weight is biggest struggle

Saturday 13 April 2013

In the interview, which will air on 2fm tomorrow, Sunday April 14, he also spoke about being a dad, Take That and about the possibility of joining The X Factor judging panel.

Speaking about fatherhood, he said: "So there I was. I wrote a song on my new album for Teddy called Go Gentle.

"I brought her out for a walk, a few months ago, and started singing the song to her.

"Once I finished, she turned to me in her buggy, and got sick on me. That's appreciation..."

In relation to his weight, he added: "My weight is still my biggest struggle in life. I spend a lot of the day worrying about getting fit, and I can't seem to do it.

"I've tried everything, and I really worry about it. Then I see the days to a tour, counting down. Chocolate should be banned worldwide."

He also spoke about whether he would become an X Factor judge: "I don't think I could do that. I'm too opinionated. I have too much to say. Yes, that's what the show needs.

"But I think I would simply p*** off too many people too quickly. Let Noel Gallagher do it. He'd be grand for it!"

Speaking to RTÉ TEN about the interview, radio presenter Cahill said: "What I like about Robbie, unlike a lot of stars these days, is that he has a lot to say.

"And he's not afraid to speak his mind."

Find out exactly what he has a lot to say about by tuning into Michael Cahill on 2fm tomorrow, Sunday April 14 at 5pm and you can listen on the RTÉ Radio Player

The British singer is torn between being laid to rest in his native Stoke-on-Trent and his wife Ayda Field's family burial plot in LA, since he feels having a sun-kissed grave would be a 'nice place' to end his life.

While he always hoped to be buried at home next to his gran, Betty, his new life in the US and the arrival of seventh-month-old daughter Theodora 'Teddy' Rose has changed his mind.

Speaking on his Radio Rudebox podcast, Robbie said: 'The thing about Stoke, my heart seems to be there. I have an interesting dilemma. If we stay in LA and this is our home for the rest of time, I'm not going to want to be buried at Stoke-on-Trent.

'When I am in stoke, my favourite place to visit is my grandma's grave at Tunstall cemetery. I have always thought that is where I would end up, at the cemetery. But I now have an American bird as my wife, and I plan to be with her for the rest of time.

'Ayda's grandma is in a cemetery over here, in a cemetery just down the road from our house. Her grave is constantly in the sun. It's a nice place to end up.'

The 39-year-old star also revealed he wasn't afraid of death and hopes he manages to squeeze a few more adventures out of life yet.

He added: 'I don't feel sad about it for some reason. It's an inevitability ... I hope that I am alive long enough for many different voyages yet. Who knows where I will end up?'

He could have his heart buried in Stoke and the rest of him in LA. Just saying.

Kind of morbid topic of conversation. As for me, I'd like a pyramid. -_-

ROBBIE WILLIAMS: I’M A HORRIBLE DAD

ABOVE: Robbie Williams says he is not exactly the perfect father I wouldn’t be surprised if she turns out like Saffy from Absolutely Fabulous

20th April 2013

ROBBIE WILLIAMS and wife Ayda Field constantly insult each other in front of their baby daughter Teddy.

The Rudebox crooner, 39, revealed: “Her mother’s mental in a brilliant comedienne kind of way. Me and the wife have a good line in being horrible to each other in front of Teddy.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if she turns out like Saffy from Absolutely Fabulous...”

In spite of this, the Robster sometimes overlooks the fact that he even has a daughter.

He admitted: “Some days I forget that I’ve got her but fortunately Ayda doesn’t. I can spend a couple of days and think, oh Jesus, I didn’t do bath time for the last two nights!”

Robbie Williams - Robbie Williams struggles to entertain daughter

23 April 2013

Robbie Williams struggles to entertain daughter

Robbie Williams' daughter doesn't find him funny.

The 39-year-old singer and wife Ayda Field welcomed their first child, daughter Theodora Rose - also affectionately known as Teddy - seven months ago and while Robbie is smitten with the tot, he admitted the feeling isn't always mutual.

According to the Daily Star newspaper, he said: ''She's not interested in peek-aboo. She's a tough audience these days.

''I think it's because her teeth are coming through, or she just thinks I'm not funny - but that's showbiz.

''I need to slip her a pint I think...''

Robbie recently wrote a song called 'Go Gentle' for Teddy but she wasn't too impressed by her dad's singing - as she vomited on him.

He said: ''I wrote her a song called 'Go Gentle'. I had a really lovely moment walking around the estate where we live with the baby, and I sang this very, very sincere song ... and she threw up on me. I don't know if that is baby for, 'That is amazing, dad', or 'I have just thrown up because you make me nauseous.' ''
