These comments come just weeks after he revealed he had a hair transplant when he lived in LA, despite not needing one.

Speaking on The Graham Norton show in November, he said: "I’ve lived in LA for a long time and they say, ‘If you sit in a barber’s shop for long enough you will get a hair cut.’ Well, if you live in Los Angeles for long enough you’re going to get some surgery.

"I’ve had a thatch done and I didn’t even need it. That’s the weirdest thing. I had three months off and got bored."

The former Take That star also opened up about the impact having his daughter has had on his life.

"With the arrival of Teddy my daughter, there is a different perspective on the world," he said.

"I don't smoke three packs of cigarettes any more, I go to bed earlier. There's been physical things and mental stuff."

Meanwhile, Robbie's second swing album Swing Both Ways has fought off competition from band mate Gary Barlow and One Direction to spend a third week at the top of the charts.

Swings Both Ways beats Midnight Memories to number one by less than 200 copies, with both records selling over 126,000 copies this week.

Barlow's Since I Saw You Last is at number three after selling more than 116,000 copies in the last seven days.

Robbie Williams: 'I almost died from cocaine abuse'

Posted by Emmeline Saunders on 29 December 2013 13:300

Robbie Williams almost had "a Heath Ledger scenario" in his drug-taking days, the singer has revealed.

Speaking to the Daily Mail Weekend magazine, the former Take That star opened up about his cocaine use and admitted he'd almost died several times from taking so many drugs.

"I was taking a whole cocktail of drugs. My left arm went numb I was taking so much cocaine," he told the publication.

"I managed to escape by the skin of my teeth and I'm lucky. I was days away from dying quite a few times on all manner of substances."

Robbie also compared himself to Hollywood actor Heath Ledger, who died in 2008 from an accidental overdose.

"There could easily have been a Heath Ledger scenario. Unfortunately I've been in a place where I didn't care if I was on the planet or not. I do care now."

The singer said he is much happier now that he is with wife Ayda Field, who he married in 2010, and daughter Teddy.

Robbie has recently spoken about the toll his drug use and years of performing have taken on his body, having been told by his chiropractor that he can no longer jump around on stage.

"I'm like, 'That's pretty harsh, being told that'. So bits and bobs on my body are closing down and f**ked and worn away from abuse," he told Bang Showbiz.

But he has no regrets. "I've f**king used my body well. I actually want to go to the grave skidding. I will skid into the grave," he added.

Robbie Williams has been given strict instructions not to jump around on stage by a chiropractor due to wear and tear on his body, most likely from years of energetic performances.

The Angel singer started his career in the band Take That at the tender age of 15, but has revealed his early start in the music industry has taken a toll on his body.

''I'm like, 'That's pretty harsh, being told that'. So bits and bobs on my body are closing down and f**ked and worn away from abuse,'' Robbie has been quoted by Bang Showbiz as revealing.

Despite the news, the 39-year-old singer admitted that he had no regrets on damaging his body, even joking that he wanted to make a dramatic exit when he eventually dies.

''I've f**king used my body well. I actually want to go to the grave skidding. I will skid into the grave," quipped the singer.

While Robbie is clearly still a big kid at heart, he admitted that having his 40th birthday looming over him next February has made him consider going under the knife for a nip and tuck.

"I don't know what it means. It used to mean you were old. I just remember Uncle Bernard having white hair and a cardigan and it being ov

Going on to add: "I'm going to have a everything done. I am going to have a facelift, the chin can go, liposuction. The mid-life crisis theory has been creeping up on me for some time.''

Robbie Williams, Dec 2014

I don't understand why he has the need to do this.

He's a great looking man and it's not like he's obese or something. But if this makes him feel better with himself, then more power to him.

I actually wouldn't have thought he was worried about this sort of stuff now that he's a father and loving husband, but what do I know anyways?

Vanity.... -_-

What's happened with the "I'm supporting Robbie no matter what, even if he kills a baby" jups I used to know?
