Robbie Williams has said he’d be keen to join the BGT judging panel, but has admitted there’s one TV talent show he wouldn’t consider – The Voice.

‘I’ve never seen The Voice. think I’d be best on BGT to be honest. I like that one a lot,’ he reportedly told The Sun.

The Angels singer – who is currently expecting his second child with wife Ayda Field – may be a fan of Simon Cowell’s show, but he’d probably stand a better chance at the moment of joining the BBC singing competition’s panel.

With coaches Kylie Minogue and Ricky Wilson not expected to return for the next series and Will.i.am previously saying that if Kylie left then he would follow, the show will be in dire need of some big names for the fourth series.

Why Robbie wants to be on BGT

He did admit he might not last too long if he was given the chance, though, because he’d be too honest.

‘Those TV shows are a great way to promote your music. But it probably wouldn’t take me long to get in trouble as I’ve got a big mouth.

‘I often say things that get me into loads of trouble.’

He has previously been a guest mentor on The X Factor, so perhaps he could take the middle road and join Si and Cheryl Cole on this year’s panel instead?

Oops! Simon Cowell DOESN’T want Take That’s Robbie Williams for BGT!

Well, things could be #awks at the next celebrity bash that both Simon Cowell and Robbie Williams attend as it’s been reported today that Britain’s Got Talent boss and judge Cowell does NOT want Take That star Robbie on the judging panel of his ITV talent quest show!

Simon – who sits on the BGT judges’ bench alongside David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden – apparently jokingly told Heat magazine, “Whose job is he going to take? [Mine] or David’s?”

He added, “The trouble is I like the panel on Britain’s Got Talent, but I would love to work with Robbie as well.”

Then surely the obvious answer would be to take the Robster on as The X Factor’s fourth judge, then he can sit with not only Simon but Cheryl Cole and Louis Walsh too?

Well, Simon avoided answering that by saying, “I don’t know what we’re doing yet.”

Robbie first intimated that he’d be open to joining up to the judging team on BGT a couple of weeks ago – you can click here to read more about that – having revealed that he wouldn’t consider becoming a coach on BBC show The Voice as he’s never even watched it.

He said, “I’d be best on BGT to be honest. I like that one a lot.”

Personally, I’d love to see Robbie on The X Factor. I think he’d be an awesome judge, and it’s not as though he’s any kind of a stranger to the show, given he’s assisted former judges Gary Barlow and Sharon Osbourne at their Judges’ Houses rounds in the past.

Take That stars face the music after tax ruling

Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen among investors likely to face hefty tax bills after tribunal decision

Around 1,000 wealthy investors including Take That's Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen could face hefty tax bills after a tax tribunal on Friday ruled that a partnership in which they invested was a tax avoidance scheme.

Barlow's Larkdale LLP is just one of 51 so-called "Icebreaker partnerships", affected by the decision of Judge Colin Bishopp in a landmark victory for HM Revenue and Customs. Investors could now face substantial tax bills as a result of the decision.

Bishopp ruled: "The underlying, and fundamental, conclusion we have reached is that the Icebreaker scheme is, and was known and understood by all concerned to be, a tax avoidance scheme."

He accepted the partnerships were carrying on the trade of the exploitation of intellectual property rights, often in the creative industries, but said their main aim was to secure tax relief for members. Icebreaker partnership investments included aspiring pop acts, publishing ventures and the sale of "personal alarms".

In evidence, some unnamed Icebreaker partners had earlier told Bishopp they had a genuine interest in the exploitation of rights, that they took an active role in the partnerships, and that they were aiming to make a profit from these ventures. They claimed: "Tax advantages were incidental to and not the principal reason for their having decided to join a partnership."

The judge did not agree. "We are, indeed, quite satisfied that no serious and even moderately sophisticated investor, or one with a competent adviser, genuinely seeking a profit, even one willing to engage in a high-risk venture, but 20 unmindful of any possible tax advantage, would rationally have chosen an Icebreaker partnership."

Through the partnerships, wealthy investors were claiming lucrative tax losses. In some cases Icebreaker scheme partners were attempting to claim tax relief on losses of up to five times more than they invested in the partnerships.

Take That manager Jonathan Wild was also a member of the Larkdale partnership. Other band members, Jason Orange and Robbie Williams, were not Icebreaker investors.

Details of the scheme emerged in 2012 in a Times investigation. At the time Take That's lawyers insisted the bandmates believed the investments were legitimate enterprises and not schemes designed to avoid tax, and that all four named paid "significant tax". There has been no suggestion of any illegality.

Last night HMRC said: "We have put in place generous reliefs to support genuine business investment and our tax reliefs for the creative industries work well, enabling the UK's world-class film, television and video production companies to compete on the global stage.

"But we will not tolerate abuse of the system by people trying to dodge their tax obligations."

It is not clear whether the judgment will be appealed.

And on this year’s chart-topping follow-up album Little Red, she collaborated with producer Fraser T Smith and easy listening favourite Robbie Williams.

This is what moving from Karma Killer to Putting on the Ritz does to a singer's reputation. <_<

The key word there is 'could' I'll bet nothing will come of it. This scheme was equally (if not more) aggressive than the one that Jimmy Carr was involved in. Jimmy Carr's case ended up front page of all the newspapers. This time - Barlow and co have been hidden in the middle pages. Barlow is Teflon coated at the moment - the squinty-eyed, balding bast*rd will always come up smelling of roses.

He's chummy with 'Call Me Dave'. No doubt his Tory buds will ensure he gets off. It was all a total misunderstanding you see.....

IT IS not often you get to meet a footballing legend like Diego Maradona ... and it looks like Robbie Williams will have to wait a bit longer too after being fooled by an impersonator.

The Tunstall-born singer boasted on Twitter about meeting Argentina's diminutive World Cup hero, only to find out 12 days later it had been a German lookalike.

On a skiing trip at the resort of Ischgl, in the southern Austrian province of Tirol, the 38-year-old Tweeted picture of himself stood next to Abi Atic, aged 49, who has doubled for Maradona for 20 years.

As modest as ever, Robbie captioned the picture with the message: 'The Hand of God meets God. I wish he was playing this year's Soccer Aid! #Maradona'.

God's honest truth. When I saw that photo the other day my immediate reaction was 'That's not Maradona'. But then I thought he had maybe had plastic surgery or something.

Anyway, that 'lookalike' guy makes easy money. He looks hee-haw like Diego.

The real Maradona. The other guy on the right is obv an imposter -_-

Robbie Williams plans tour around England's World Cup ties

Pop superstar Robbie Williams has revealed he's planned his entire summer tour schedule around England's World Cup ties.

Footy mad Robbie returns to the UK next week, after the European leg of his Swings Both Ways tour.

And in an exclusive interview with the M.E.N. before his Berlin gigs this week, he said: "We always make sure the tour dates are fitted around the European cups and World cups. Or for example I have a gig in Belfast on the night of the first England match but it's a late kick off so we'll make sure we're finished in time to watch the game.

"I love, love football, it's been one of the only constants, apart from sugar, in my life."

Take That star Robbie heads to Manchester next weekend for his charity football game Soccer Aid, before returning at the end of June to the Phones 4u Arena with his new solo tour, which celebrates his latest album of big band style music.

And he tells the M.E.N. Manchester fans can expect a humdinger of a show.

"It's a big old show, it's a big production - there's dancers and a big band.

"It's Joe longthorne meets Norman Wisdom meets Dean Martin in Baz Luhrmann's bathroom."

I am being forced to attend a wedding on the night of the England v Italy match. I'm not best pleased.

The ex-Take That star worried that fans wouldn't enjoy his stripped-back show

Robbie Williams isn't exactly known for being low in confidence but it seems his bravado let him down during his latest tour.

The Angels hitmaker is crooning his way around Europe with his Swings Both Ways show, which sees him performing a stripped-back set in support of his latest swing album.

He has admitted that the tour hasn't all been plain sailing, calling it an "exhilarating [but] terrifying experience".

"The 'Swings Both Ways' tour is a different animal than anything that I've done before... Therefore the audience is different than anything I've had before...," he wrote on his blog.

"At the start of the tour I thought people weren't enjoying it... But such is the distorted view of me, mine and what I have to offer."

Now with his confidence back, Robbie - whose wife Ayda Field is expecting their second child, a sibling for 20-month-old daughter Teddy - is already thinking about his next tour, despite his current run of shows not coming to an end until late September.

"I'm enjoying myself so much I just want to be able to do it again (on this scale) somewhere down the line," he wrote.

The 40-year-old has previously spoken of his hopes of getting a job as a talent show judge, with his eyes on Britain's Got Talent.

We think he might have more luck with The Voice, which has a Kylie-shaped hole in its judging line-up.

Robbie: I’m lovin’ England instead

ROBBIE WILLIAMS is so proud to be English he can’t bear to stay away any longer.

The singer is finally quitting LA and moving back home.

But why quit the States, when he has a mansion in La La Land where the sun always shines? Because he’s a dad — soon to be for the second time, as wife AYDA is four months pregnant.

The star is adamant that he wants their daughter Teddy and the new arrival to be educated in England.

And even though wife Ayda is Turkish-American, Robbie is keen for his kids to have an English accent.

Robbie spoke exclusively to Bizarre about his decision.

He said: “I love LA. The people and the weather are great but it’s not England. It can’t offer the same.

“Things change when you’re a dad — there are people to look after who are more important than yourself.

“I want Teddy and the new baby, whatever it may be, to be educated in England.”

When we caught up with Robbie, he was sitting eating sushi — it would have been a bag of chips before he became a dad.

He told us: “I look after myself now — I have to. Not only for my appearance but I have to be fit for on the road and for running around after Teddy.”

And although Robbie has talked about moving home before, this time he has no choice after completing the purchase of a £2.5million mansion in North London.

Robbie revealed: “Teddy is already surrounded by English people so she’s bound to have an accent anyway.

“But that’s not the point — we want to educate her in London.

“We’ve just bought a ruddy big house so we had better be coming back!”

That’s not the only reason Robbie is returning to Blighty though — he loves British telly, especially classic comedy repeats.

He said: “I can’t get enough of them — Morecambe and Wise, Tommy Cooper, Blackadder...”

- Robbie’s Swings Both Ways Live tour hits the UK in Belfast on June 13.

The SUN UK

Fast forward 6 months and he'll be relocating back to LA as he cant stand the weather over here. I really wish he's make up his mind!
