I think I meant about RW saying he wanted the kids to go to school in the UK.

 

I wondered whether they'd changed their minds on that now.

Is RWAP offline, Laura?

Robbie cancalled the asia dates of the tour because of Force Majeure.

Was the ticket sale that bad they could not move it to a smaller arena?

Or is it something else? Maybe work with TT on the 25th anniversary?

I'm really disappointed about the cancelled tour - I was looking forward to hearing about it in China. -_-

 

It could be ticket sales although I would be surprised if it is - if he can fill an arena in Russia, he can fill one in Singapore/Hong Kong.

 

I wondered if it were something to do with Chinese bureaucracy? If I remember rightly, in chat he said they had to run the set list past Chinese officials. Maybe something changed? Terrible shame for those waiting to see him though. To be cancelled twice in nine years must be so aggravating.

I am also pondering about it and first thought it is about ticket sales, but he could have moved to smaller venues and as his concert in Singapore last year had gone down that well, I cannot see a lack of sales in HK and Singapore.

Oh yes - I forgot he already did Singapore last year - and that was to a big crowd.

Princess Charlene must be really tall - she's got flat shoes on and is as tall as Ayda in her heels.

she was a great swimmer and I think they are usually tall, great pic, isn't it? O wonder of Ayda spoke French with Albert.

So we watched with the catalogue in front of us - the awards he's won over his career are even more impressive when they're laid out in front of you in black and white with all the statistics. Some lots went for more than expected, some went for less.

 

Robbie did lot 79 - the lyrics to Kids. He was very funny. He spotted someone in the room who he recognised. :lol: The bidding went up to £5,500 I think. There's quite a lot of multi tasking involved which he gave up on I think. :lol: But his presence filled the room. :)

 

When he'd done his bit he slipped out but he still had his mic on and all you could hear was him thanking everybody. He even said thank you to the auctioneer for helping him out. He's such a sweetheart. :wub:

 

The icing on the cake was the final lot for the Go Gentle lyrics that went for £25,000. There were two telephone bidders battling it out. I was so happy because that song is so special. It was just a shame he wasn't there to see the very end of it. It was a brilliant two hours viewing, amusing, interesting and uplifting. I smiled all the way through. :)
