I think I've finished mine. It's very different to anything I've ever sent before (as it's actually pretty accessible, sorry Brett-Butler again for the last one!!! :D ) and it's probably 50/50 with the list of names so far as to whether it will be welcomed, I just hope it ends up with someone who likes it. ^_^

Why is this so hard?! I know what I want it to sound like but I'm finding it difficult not to have songs that stick out like sore thumbs. *sigh* The whole thing needs to be more fluid. :(

Ah, the CDSWAP is not a perfectionist's friend. I do mine about 10 times over every year, even though I've finished mine now I'll probably listen all week in the car and then decide to make a couple of final alterations just before the deadline.

I do mine by selecting far too many songs - maybe 25 and then sequence them until I am happy with it - removing the sore thumb ones until I have less than 80s minutes of music.

A couple more! Keep em coming, I'll post an updated list on the first page soon.
Oh gosh everybody's worried about sequencing and I never rly thought about it :( Mine isn't that fluid imo... but it's a good mix of stuff, just the obscurity issue same with everyone else rry

There were a few good tunes on it Mr D* (School of Seven Bells remix, Fixers, Melanie were great), plus the mixing and artwork were fantastic. Whoever receives your compilation this time around will be in for a real treat.

I'm doing this at the moment. :D Although I think whoever gets mine will hate it!

I think mine will be badly received as well (maybe Dandy* could be the notable exception). Will be interesting to see the opinion nonetheless, and it's nice to show a bit of the music I listen to that doesn't get much attention.
I am worried that mine will won't go to someone who likes it, but I'm quite happy with the tracks I've chosen (as I cut it down from 50 to round about half that) so hopefully there will be a track that SOMEONE will like no matter who it goes to.

I think mine is a fairly smoothly sequenced trip through my various musical tastes, so I'll be intrigued if it ends up with someone who actually finds songs to enjoy throughout, and not just a section. Sadly I had to cut out the 8 minute cut from The Fountain soundtrack, but I'm sure the recipient will survive.

Just need to copy the mp3s and wipe the data and it'll be with you in time Ben ~

Death is the road to awe? If I'm the recipient I MOST DEFINITELY WOULD NOT.

It may have also been in one of my CD Swaps. :o

I've decided I'm entering this. I just need to FIGURE how to get my CD to the high standards of anonymity required ~
I will HOPEFULLY have mine ready in time, I have about half the tracks and a theme/sequencing idea sorted already.

I'm having terrible trouble compressing mine so that Dropbox or Zippyshare will accept it.

Given the variety of entrant into this if my cd goes to a veteran of the indie/alternative forum they'll think "Zzzzz.....I know all these tracks" and if it goes to some of the less frequent visitors to this forum they'll think "what the hell is this stuff?".

Yeah, mine's going to go only one of three ways: complete hatred, complete adoration, or utter boredom through familiarity :D The perils of going for a primer as your CD concept!
