Who'd have ever thought Ellie Goulding could CRACK America!

I'll have you know her crazed stans predicted this months ago!

#6 is fantastic though, I never expected her to outpeak Bulletproof. I hope she can sneak a week or two in the top 5 but I find it hard to imagine her getting any higher than that.

Cher is just storming up it. Only her second week on the Hot 100 and already verging on top 50 - incredible. Delighted to see her easily shooting past Rita too.

Amazing for Ellie up to number 6!!!! She's the new La Roux : a surprise British success in the US....

2 Brit follow up entries in the top 40 this week: One Direction's One Thing, and Calvin Harris' Let's Go proving they're no 'One Hit Wonders' !!!

Great climb by Cher Lloyd and Rita Ora... more UK females cracking the US....

03 02 Maroon 5 featuring rapper Wiz Khalifa - Payphone

Well THANK GOD it's been pointed out that Wiz Khalifa is a rapper because until now I always thought he was an opera singer.

Heatseekers is for "new or developing acts" and artists are no longer elgible if they've charted within the (Hot 100) top 50.

britster cares not for the criticism of you mere mortals.

WTF .... I haven't really took notice of US charts recently and Ellie Goulding is #06?! Easily the most shocking chart success I've seen so far this year.

Good to see Cher doing fairly well with what is her best track.

It was listed like that on Billboard some time ago, and it got in my spreadsheet, but I've edited it now

I could see Ellie getting top 5 next week, as she's surely going to overtake Where Have You Been. And there's nothing else threatening to overtake Ellie (Titanium isn't getting much airplay, and not doing anywhere near as well as Lights on streaming).

It's between Carly Rae Jepsen and Maroon 5 for next week then, but I think Katy Perry will get #1 on digital. I can't believe Mercy is #15. Never dreamt it would get that high!

Cinema climbing on the Bubbling Under chart. :drama: Does anybody know the record amount of time spent there?
