Seeing Adele next to MJ just shows how far away she is from matching his greatness.

A brilliant top 2! I listen to MJ more but I can see how BR can be considered the greatest #1 ever. My favourite Queen song is Who Wants To Live Forever though!
I can see why ABBA are popular and deserve a place but their singles really do not do anything for me, Lay All Your Love On Me aside.

It helps if you were around at the time, I suppose.

It takes MORE than one album to do that though.

Adele has 2 albums - still not that many but there are plenty of acts that have become considered all-time greats off the back of 2 albums.

To answer the question about ITunes these are the songs in top 200 out of tracks already been shown in the broadcast.

A Whiter Shade of Pale - #70.

Nothing Compares 2 U - #73/#134

Number 1 (Programme Theme music) - #97.

The Drugs Don't Work - #99.

House of the Rising Sun - #123.

Wuthering Heights - #138.

Gangsta's Paradise - #141.

Stand By Me - #159.

Crazy in Love - #171.

The Now compliation is probably making these songs rise on itunes as well!!

Strange not to see any U2 in there considering how they are held in great esteem!

Also, i dont think five would have made Baby one more time as big as britney - with alot of pop artists its the person who sings/markets the song is what makes it great (and in her case the video) as most of these artists dont write their music - they are performers!
