I hate how just before the advert they pretty much reveal who's next... So Kylie, Abba and John Lennon between 8-10 then

(Yay for no Britney though!)

9. Whitney Houston - I Will Always Love You

Fair enough. I do have The Bodyguard OST on cd somewhere. Did like this back in 1992 but wouldn't regard it as one of the best no. 1 singles of all time.

08. Abba - Dancing Queen

Quite a bit lower than I thought, Love this   if that advert is right, John Lennon might be a lot lower than expected...Adele's gonna win this, isn't she? :(

I can see why ABBA are popular and deserve a place but their singles really do not do anything for me, Lay All Your Love On Me aside.
Dancing Queen is brilliant, but The Winner Takes It All is CLEARLY the best ABBA song. All other opinions are invalid (joke)

Wow 5ive were offered baby one more time I bet they regret that.

I think its gonna definetely be Queen Bohemian Rhapsody number 1.

I think it will be Queen, The Beatles & Adele for the top 3. Gut feeling that Adele may win it through current popularity alone.
How can John Lennon's Imagine be lower than Oasis Dont Look Back In Anger Oasis totally rip it off on that song and Noel cant sing.
ADELE's "Someone Like You" ridiculously high, I see.

I don't actually think it is ridiculous that it's this high up. She clearly will be remembered as having an extremely important album in the UK's history, much like the acts she's accompanying in the upper regions.

That maybe true, but I actually prefer 'Don't Look Back In Anger'. You can probably put that down to my age and the impact that track had on people my age at the time (I was 15 when the song was released).

That said, 'Imagine' was the UK #1 single when I was born. Had I been born two days earlier it would've been 'There's No One Quite Like Grandma'. :D

Well, I think she gets more increasingly overrated every day. But that's just me.

You may be right... but so are most of the tracks that are doing very well in this chart, that was my point really. They're a selection of overplayed songs that history has deemed to be important and there's no doubt in my mind that history will do the same to Someone Like You.

How can "Someone Like You" be higher than Britney, Whitney & even John Lennon. It's not even that good. "Hometown Glory" is FAR superior! And it's not in the same league as "...Baby One More Time", "I Will Always Love You" and "Dancing Queen"!!! f***ing public.
