Loved the introduction of The Governor last night. So glad they've not copied the comics and gone for a more flesh and blood character. I didn't think I'd enjoy this episode as it didn't have the characters of Daryl or Rick in it but I did.

Agreed I was the same. I loved how as the episode went on you saw how sick and twisted The Governor actually was, at first it seemed liked he was going to be a nice (and sane) guy! Was a little surprised at how subdued Merle was. I can't wait until they meet Rick and Co.

Do you not think that The Governor is just Rick a few years down the line?

I guess that's what they were trying to show. I imagine he's been de-humanised for a reason, and something happened to him that has made him this way.

I agree, that episode really worked well. And filled the blanks of what happened to Merle. I can't wait for Merle to connect with Darryl again, will the relationship between them become strained so to speak.

My. heart. has. been. shattered.

Regardless, BRILLIANT episode.

I really wonder how it did in the ratings as it was such a strong episode!
I'm one of those folk who can't resist peaking at spoilers but I still can't wait to watch this on Friday! Looks brilliant!
Given the great reviews, I'm tempted to watch online instead of waiting until the UK showing on Friday!

Oh my God. That was brilliant escapism. Such a good tense episode. How good was Andrew Lincoln, amazing at the end.

I just knew they'd replace that new black guy with T-Dog, the poor guy couldn't catch a break!

f*** me sideways the latest episode was fantastic, I was literally full on crying for at least 5 minutes. Emotional wreck I was. Wow!

HA! That was painfully obvious. Me and my mates turned to each other and we all said the same thing. I was gutted

T-Dog did end up dying though! Although he was featured very little, I had a bit of a soft spot for him!

Andrew Lincoln's acting was sublime! Those last few minutes or so... HEARTBREAKING!

I actually didn't start crying until I saw Rick's reaction to the baby! Was so gutting and then the bit where he looks at Carl and realises it was him who shot Lori, phenomenal piece of acting!

This season has shat all over the first two combined for me. It's just PERFECT. I love the secondary storyline, to give us a breather and then focus on the heavy stuff with the prison and things. Great work by everyone involved. My favourite episode from the series, easily.

Woodbury is not a secondary storyline, it's the main one. And the heavier stuff happen in Woodbury believe me.

Really? Apart from the whole Governer (he's a good guy, oh wait!!) thing, nothing has really happened yet there. I know he's playing a very important role, but at the moment, I'm far more interested in the main group and the prison etc..

That's because nothing has been revealed yet and there was nothing new from Woodbury this week, it was basically 'we plan to leave' all over again. I have no idea what stuff from the comics will make the series, but if everything does I'm going to love it!

I watched it and it was probably my favourite episode ever (or at least one of them). It was gripping throughout and

the two shock deaths of Lori and T-Dog were done brilliantly. I never expected two of the group to die in one episode, let alone this early in the series.

Definite 10/10 episode for me! :yahoo:

Wow, that was an amazing episode and probably was one of the best to date

Lori 's demise wasn't much of a shocker to me, because I knew that was coming. Rick's scenes at the end was just utter brilliant.

I must admit this Season blows the first two out of the water, I love the fast pace to it and the episodes have been very strong so far, last week's episode was a great introduction to Woodbury. I do prefer the main group at the prison, as most of the tense action is centred around them.

The Walking Dead is easily one of the best shows on TV with all the make up guys, the effects, production, and all the people behind the scenes, it must take long hours to produce such a TV show like this, kudos to them for adapting/re-imaging the comics to the TV screen.

I found it quite moving actually

Lori's demise I mean.

I didn't blubber at all (not as I did when Nana Speakman died in The Royle Family) but I did feel a tiny tear well up in my eye.

Although already far superior to series 2 - for me it doesn't quite grab me as much as series 1 did. I'm finding I'm getting a bit tired of Daryl - I just don't feel that he has much punch (and oddly enough - as much vulnerability) as he did in the first series - and to be honest - his voice is so shot to pieces (maybe because the actor smokes too much) but I find it hard to make out what the hell he's saying half of the time.

I'd have to agree with you on this. I still like the grittiness and the acting (for its genre) is still pretty impressive. I've just started watching The Hatfields & The McCoys - this and TWD are my two faves on TV at the moment.
