Oh really? I didn't realise the RVP's were pre-recorded. Oh well, some promotion even closer to Christmas is fine with me! :D
She sang and looked great on strictly but i dont like that version of loco motion plus i dont think it represents abbey roads album as strong as other tracks could have, i think it was a stupid song to pick to perform as it has not been picked as a highlight in any of the reviews etc. Maybe im wrong but i think it was in part a slightly wasted opportunity.
I agree that Loco-motion isn't the strongest song on the album, but she still gave a brilliant performance as per. I'd have preferred something like On a Night Like This which would have really showed off her vocals.
True, plus on a night like this is the next single so it would have been good promo for the single and album, i still would have loved her to have performed flower as it could have got her another top 75 hit.
I doubt anything she would have performed would have done anything, Locomotion was fitting due to the theme of the show and did the job of promoting the album.

KYLIE MINOGUE - THE ABBEY ROAD SESSIONS

Gold Certification (Album) Friday, November 16, 2012

EMI MUSIC (PARLOPHONE)

Released Monday, October 29, 2012

:D

disagree, the album has stayed firm on itunes..... its number 40 but there are 15 double editions/EPs/compilations ahead of her.... loads of new entries.... if she didnt get any promo the album would be out of top 40 this week.... instead it looks like it could be close to staying top 30.... she is not a huge seller anymore, but could well shift another 10k this week and get near the 80k mark in the UK> if she sells over 100k in 2012 then thats not bad..... still lots of promo to come

Locomotion has done NOTHING on iTunes! Not given the album a boost either. :(

Im not surprised the loco motion didnt get a benefit as it was simply a bad choice of song to perform and i dont know does it represent the album for what it truly is. Many new entries around this week so it would be sweet if Kylie can stay top 30. Sales for last week were higher than i expected so to my knowledge her total sales stand on around 68,000. This week should bring that very near to 80,000.
Midweeks are initially good for Kylie, she is number 23. On week 2 and week 3 she improved on her mid weeks positions, i would be quiet happy for that trend to continue.
Great stuff! Should still be Top 40 this week, even if it has a big fall, then maybe a climb the week after with the RVP shown on 3 December.
This chart run reminds me of X, a few weeks top 10, big-ish drop but then stable afterwards. Of course, X had more singles and buzz around it.
