This chart run reminds me of X, a few weeks top 10, big-ish drop but then stable afterwards. Of course, X had more singles and buzz around it.

X's chart run has to be one of the most strangest! 04-05-19-18-17-29-40  And I believe it was on about 70k/80k down at the bottom of the Top 20!

Reading between sales in the chart forum Kylie sold either a little over or a little under 12,000 last week.
Rumour mill alert which could be rubbish Kylie is number 52 in the mid-weeks. I really hope i have been fed a load of rubbish on this position.

Well Christina's latest album was rumoured to be #102 on last week midweeks but ended up at #76 come Sunday - no way it could have climbed that much, it would have if anything fallen during the week. Abbey Road Sessions should be perfectly safe to achieve another week in the Top 40 this week.

That's highly unlikely. On amazon it was #25 on sunday. It's now #20. Same with hmv cd chart.

Yes i have calculated it to have sold the same. I hope you guys are right about the midweeks, i originally believed it would stay top 40 so was quiet disappointed to hear it was so low.
Down 10 places to number 35 - the midweek position yesterday was obviously fake. Hope it can remain Top 40, although I'm reasonable sure it will as it seems to have had a "weekend effect" every other week.
Great to see the album still top 40 and all going well it will stay there, she has promo for next week so that will hopefully add enough sales to get her another week top 40, if on a night like this gets some decent radio 2 airplay it ideally will be enough to keep the album selling at least 5k a week through to the end of the year which would be good.
Royal Variety, X Factor Final and Rod Stewart all in one week, surely a big sales boost has to come on the back of all this promotion.

X Factor Final and Rod Stewart Xmas special is on the Sunday though, so not the same sales week as Royal Variety. :( Unless Kylie is performing on the Saturday (I presume the final is still in two parts - Saturday and Sunday).

Do they still have 2 parts to X-factor final? i didn't think they did... its just one night?? so most of her sales from this promo will count towards the week after........ she is not performing any of her songs on Rod Stewart, just a Xmas song with Rod.......... to be fair i am hoping she can just stay top 40 this week after Royal Variety........ i doubt it will climb much..... if you think she soold 32k on her 1st week and that last week would have only got 15th spot ... I think she could probably sell another 10k this week and stay just top 40.... the week after with the x-factor and the new single being played more on radio and she could sell more in the X-mas rush, while her Alan Carr performance and her appearance at the PWL concert could well be a nother solid week for TARS.

Of course another brilliant performance on the Royal Variety Performance! :D She performed On a Night Like This so hopefully this could give it a decent boost instead of lingering at the bottom of the iTunes Chart. She looked stunning with that dress an hair!
Christ, its only been half an hour, calm down.
