Its looking promising now for the album to remain top 40 for another week as she is currently sitting at number 36 in the midweek chart tracking. X Factor should ensure that she stays top 40 next week. Within the next two weeks the album should pass 100,000 combined sales.

Kylie was brilliant as usually on X Factor! She was so good that Dermot bothered to talk and have a laugh with her for a few minutes, without worrying about the timing schedule like he normally does!
The dancer she was leaning on was fit as fuck.

He probably thought the same of Kylie, especially when she lifted her leg over him!

Kylie obviously is more concentrating on album sales as if she was concentrating on single success she would have performed on a night like this. So far strictly was the loco motion, royal variety was on a night like this and x factor cant get you out of my head so all three should push the album.

However, i did not enjoy the x factor performance at all and i didn't enjoy strictly either. I have mixed emotions about this album, been totally truthful if it wasnt Kylie there isnt a hope in hell i would buy it. I have to add, i adore flower, its a gorgeous song and part of me is mad she hasnt given it any performance, plus it would promote a brand new song that would fit in with the style of the album. I dont know i could be wrong about flower. For now though, i hope the album keeps selling for her as i always like to see Kylie do well but from my own music taste i would be happy for the next project to come. I knew abbey roads wouldnt float my boat from when i first heard of the project as it just isnt a style of music im a big fan of.

Kylie looked and sounded amazing on the x factor performance. Its jumped to no17 on itunes.
good to see minogue rising again

You might need to put some spoilers around that. ;)

Great to see it climbing, would be great if it could return to the Top 20 next week, although that's probably just wishful thinking! :D

I thought the performance was absolutely excellent, not only did she look stunning but it really helped show another side to her. A few friends who were watching with me who aren't necessarily Kylie fans commented that they didn't know she could sing/perform that well live.

Hopefully it'll boost the album quite a bit.

I think she is number 34 in the album chart, havnt offically seen the chart yet, climbing is great and hopefully she will climb even further next week and hang on after that for the main christmas weeks sales and build them up. 150,000 looks certain now although 200,000 would be great.
Offically number 34 up 2 places this week and reading between reports she looks to have managed in or around 11,000 sales this week, hopefully that can increase to 20,000+ next week.
Those sales are incorrect, Tulisa sold 15,000+ at number 35 so Kylie is higher. Kylie would have sold the best part of maybe a little more than 16,000 last week. This included would reveal Kylie would be over 100,000 sales for this album and it is likely she will sell a further 20,000 copies this coming week.
Jesus christ pippa my pet Aphrodite was only offering an indication as to how much she may have sold. Glad Kylie is over 100k now. 150k is looking possible for this album now.
Have you never heard of commas? Its so hard to try and figure out what the hell you were trying to say.
Im hoping the mid weeks bring some good news, i dont know, even though i think it will rise i think top 25 will be its highest, what do the rest of ye think?

I have to agree, I'm not a fan of this album at all and the whole project seems dreadfully predictable to me - it seems like so many artists get to a certain age - their chart fortunes fade - so they start coming out with releases that rely on past glories. Yes, I know many ardent fans here will object to that harsh criticism. And yes, I do realize it's her 25 year, so such a release does fit with the theme. I just find the while thing very meh.

That said, I can understand where Kylie and Parlaphone are coming from. With all the money invested in Aphrodite - big name song writing/producer sessions, videos, promotion, etc - you have to wonder if it turned much of a profit in the end.

Am I the only one feeling a bit pessimistic about the future?

I disagree with some of your comments. I think the album was an excellent idea and perfect way to celebrate 25 years of being successful in the music industry. The album has been well received by many critics and shows a more mature side to Kylie's singing. With regards to Aphrodite, I am disappointed it didnt do better with only one reasonable sized hit. I think the record company are to blame for giving up on the album so quickly and lack of radio support was a heavy factor. There were only three singles released, while other artists can release as many as 7 or 8 and no re-release. In terms of the future, Kylie may not be as popular - she is getting older and may not appeal as much particularly to the younger generation. I think she needs to find a style of music which is more appropriate for her age and abbey road sessions certainly does that well.

I think the album will fall to around 30 this week from the 25 mid. I think its a stunning album.

Aphrodite didnt sell as well as I hoped but only had one single that really pushed the album, without that single I doubt aphrodite would have sold much at all. Maybe like Femme Fatal britney or MDNA madge.
