Ya, i just saw the sales report, hopefully 12-13k for Kylie this week, at least we know she definitely cleared 10,000. On a rough estimation the album will have sold 180,000 copies now. Should hopefully hit 200,000 in the next month or so. The album will sell in dribs and drabs for a while and probably by the time sales fully trail off the abbey roads will have shockingly only sold about 100,000 less than Aphrodite.

It's done fantastically well IMO, I doubted whether it'd get 100k but it seems to have 200k on lock now, which is great for what seemed to be a fan release.
Goes to show that even 25 years in, Kylie can still gain new fans, which bodes well for the next era.
It would be great to know did anyone buy the album that usually wouldnt buy a kylie album, i know we cant find tha info out but it would be interesting.
No.57 on year-end chart, with 175,500 sales hurrah!

Great performance of better the devil you know on Alan Carr, i have to say that is my favorite performance from the album so far. Its a she didn't perform this on strictly or x factor as they get far bigger ratings as i think this version of better the devil you know represents the album very well and its one of the very strong songs on the album. I saw the performance did benefit the album going by itunes alone.
Well now :o that was better than i thought.
Im really happy with that position, considering her album hasnt been really reduced in price she is doing ok, even if sales are low she should manage around 4,000 sales.
True, outside the UK it hasnt really done much at all, im still very disappointed by how it performed in Ireland, i was sure she would re enter at some stage but it has yet to happen.

Only charting for 2 or 3 weeks in most charts (and selling 30k in total..?)..

Shame, as I do think she could've done more with it promowise.

Why has this done nothing in AUS (is it even Gold)? And why have her singles done so bad since 2 Hearts?
I would suspect a lot of it is to do with the fact she done hardly any promotion in Australia.

Well, she did quite a bit of promotion at the start of "Aphrodite"... but yh, apart from that, she has hardly done any promotion previously.

X got hardly any promotion in Australia from what i heard and things went downhill from there onwards.

Aussies are fickle and only support the flavor of the month. kylie is yesterdays news over there.. which doesnt matter.. uk still love her

Nice boost next week with this "quitting music" shizz? :kink:
