Is the promo image of her on the throne the single's artwork or just a promo image? The Huffington Post says its the single cover, just a rumour maybe? Gaga will confirm it ye?
First thing I thought of when I saw the title was Rihanna's 'Take a Bow' - due to the "how about a round of applause" lyric, but I don't know why that came to mind! :P

This artwork is such an improvement so far.

Was this announced today?

Shame the Azelia/ Beyonce collabo wasn't first, but maybe that's for a post-album no.1 lik T-T-T-Telephone.

We're getting the single cover tonight!

Artwork for new single 'Applause' comes tonight on @womensweardaily's site for coverprint on newstands 2moro. Photography Inez+Vinoodh -GAGA
If she has any sense, she would have booted Azealia out.

This. Azealia Banks is irrelevant now anyway. And a full on Gaga album with no features is what I want personally.

She looks horrid in that photo, hopefully the song will be good!

I haven't been keen on any of the recent photoshoots I've seen recently, so I pray to God the single artwork is good!

Has the single artwork leaked already???? Anyone know?????

Hey and welcome no it hasn't yet or not that I know of. I can't wait though! :cheer:

I can't help but stress that this is going to be a ballad. Looking at the music video director, and the promo images - you get the ballad sort of vibe. Like a DJWS 'Bloody Mary' sort of ballad, obviously a lot more toned-down to fit the era's theme.
I don't want any features. Except The Saturdays.

And Natasha Bedingfield.

But remember how well Beyonce worked on the Fame?

Yup, I think the same. It sounds like an Emelie Sande-type ballad.

Gaga would never reduce herself to Sande-lite bedtime lullabies thankfully. We need something trend-setting from her though, no I Knew Were Trouble/As Long As You Love Me-type sadness with a dubstep breakdown type ballad.

But since it's DJ White Shadow I'm not quite sure what to expect. :drama:
