I liked his previous album much more. This one doesn't feel as strong but it's more cohesive at least.

I thought the last album was very cohesive if you exclude HSAB. This one is more of a mixture of new more modern influences. You heard the deluxe version? He left 4 good songs off the album and left some crap ones in.

On course to do the double and take number 1 single and album in midweeks atm (if Bruno Mars will back the hell off until Sunday)! I seriously can't get enough of 'What a Buzz' or 'Dear Darlin' at the moment. They'd be excellent singles after 'Army of Two'!

I have yet to listen to this (awaiting birthday money in a few weeks) but I did listen to Just For Tonight and its amazing. If anyone has a link, it'd be much appreciated.

his debut remains my favourite album of his, but i do adore pretty much everything he does.

Is there anything personally signed by Olly included in that deluxe box set? I'm thinking of getting it but since I have the signed album already, I'm not sure if it's worth to get the box set.

The lyric book has a few personally signed and annotated bits yes. Shall I post a few pictures for you?

Dear Darlin or Sliding Doors for me. Imagine the video for Sliding Doors, could be very cool. I think Personal has a chance of being his 3rd single though, he seems to like that. As long as it's not Head to toe I don't mind.

HE DID IT! HE DID THE DOUBLE! 'Troublemaker' number 1 for a second week and 'Right Place Right Time' becomes his second number 1 album :) So blimmin' proud of him it's unreal!
He is also in with a chance of doing a third week at number 1 in the singles, and also a possibility of doing the double again this week. I would welcome this too if it happens. Great album, he really has delivered 3 strong albums and continues to go from strength to strength.

Second week shifted another 103,000 copies to stay at number 1! So proud of him - he's sold about 230k so far so if he sells another 70k this week (which he'll do easily) it'll be his third platinum album in 3 years. Who'd have thought :)

I believe he's meant to be performing 'Troublemaker' at Christmas Day TOTP this year too :)

Awesome. He'll drop to about 85k-90k this week (Sales will hold steady so much, Christmas is right around the corner), before heading back to over 120k the week of Christmas and possibly (not sure what sales are like then) holding over 100k again for the week AFTER Christmas after people have been given gift cards/money and what not as presents. He has another 800k album on his hands I reckon.

'Right Place, Right Time' for 3rd single though, please! Up there as one of his very best tracks for me

You see I don't like the title track. Or at rather I love the rest of the song but I don't like the dubsteppy bit in the middle. Doesn't suit him at all, it's not his sound. I really hope they go with 'Dear Darlin' or 'What a Buzz' for third single!

I just want this album to outsell his last one which I think it could do given the fact he's only released one single thus far. He won't sell as many over the Christmas period as last year but he'll catch that up with a couple of decent singles.

Agreed. 'Army of Two' still doesn't have a release date yet but when that gets to radio you know it's gonna smash it and never be off the airwaves. It's gonna sound epic when he does the stadium shows supporting Robbie next year as well!

Yeah Army of two and hopefully a 3rd single very soon after so he can concentrate on the next album. I reckon Dear Darlin, RPRT and Sliding doors will be the contenders for that. I hope he continues to release an album a year as it keeps the momentum going and it's important he keeps focused on the UK where he will need to keep his profile up if he's not doing Xtra Factor. He will be busy touring next year in America to start with, then his UK tour then the Robbie stadium tour, hectic schedule! So it's hard to see if he'll have time for writing and singles!

Well he's not QUITE touring America. Just three small dates in New York, LA and Chicago at end of January but he's said his main focus will always be the UK cause it's where his biggest fanbase (or in his words his 'bread and butter') is - if 'Troublemaker' does crack it in US (which in my waters I don't think it will with the way Columbia's treated him thus far) he said it's just a Brucie bonus. But I would like to think he could take a bit longer to make a new proper studio album.

One thing I have suggested to management is maybe him doing a Christmas album or some sort of concept album like a big band album next year, cause the material for that would, bar one or two new tracks, essentially be all ready to go with the right songs. Doing a Christmas album has worked wonders for Michael Buble, and for Robbie when he did the swing album which was one of the biggest selling albums of his career. Olly would be more than capable of doing the same thing next year and that way it keeps him fresh in the public eye but he has more time to work on new material for a proper new studio album.

I'm confident he'll continue to do well regardless of whether or not he returns to Xtra Factor next year, he's grown progressively in success since the first album. No one truly knows for definite if him and Caroline or indeed the judges come back until April/May time and as much as I love and will miss him and Flackers together (they're so cute) he's a popstar first and that's how we came to know him first, so that should be the focus.

He's performing "Dear Darlin" acoustically again on This Morning later. Also on Alan Carr: Chatty Man tonight which I cannot wait for, been too long since he was last on there!

Really enjoyed his performance of DD on TM, it was better than his performance on Xtra Factor.

As for the US tour, it is only three dates but it still counts as a tour. Plus if tickets sell well then other House of blues venues might pile on or further Chicago, NY or LA dates could be added.

I'm not sure about a Christmas album, while obviously lucrative, Buble, Rod Stewart etc are covers artists already. I don't want people to start seeing Olly like that. He can save that type of album for if his career starts to slide as a fall back. I would prefer another new album as he can work on it in January while in America then again when he releases his album over there in April.

Over 100k again this week! With big singles to come it's on course to be his biggest selling album, Olly's 1st million seller?
