Posted July 30, 201212 yr I really like the idea of reflecting on Kylies career, especially her singles/songs. So what I am going to is, every few days im going to randomly pick a song which we can discuss. This will either be a single, album track and a random song she has performed. I hope everyone will get involed so we can get some great discussions going, so come back frequently guys. So out first song is - Bittersweet Goodbye CjVNZhq73M8 I agree with some people that this song doesnt really fit on Light Years but I still like it. I do love a good Kylie ballad and while it doesnt rank up there for me, its still not a bad song on its own. What do you think about this track ? Love it ? Hate it ? Or is just just a bit of a "meh" monent for you ?
July 30, 201212 yr It's a nice little track, but it doesn't fit in on Light Years. I tend to skip it after a minute of playing, but if I'm in a relaxed mood late at night, I sometimes play it. Kylie does sound great when she's singing it as it does seem like an incredibly hard song to sing as it goes very high in places, but Kylie masters it perfectly - like shown on her Anti-Tour performance. EDIT: By the way, I think the idea of discussing singles is great, perhaps when a single reaches it's 5th, 10th, 20th anniversary ect. you could post that song? Edited July 30, 201212 yr by liamk97

Great idea but if its done every few days, it keeps the forum busier with more conversation.
July 30, 201212 yr Worst song on Light Years? Oh Jark, on an album containing KOO-KA-CHOO and LOVEBOAT there's no way this is anything like the worst song. For me it's one of the best songs on the album though, it's very different from the rest of the album but I think it works well as a nice little break in things and a moment of a calm. Plus Kylie sounds lovely.

I agree both are quite awful but if I let them play for 30 seconds they suck me in. Too damn catchy :( whereas I can't recall this song's melody for the life of me!
July 30, 201212 yr Oh LORDY, if you let yourself get sucked in by those 2 songs there really is no hope. They make me physically ILL just thinking about how utterly without merit they are.

It would fit in more if there was at least one more ballad on the album, but it's because it's the only one on the album, it seems so out of place.
