Posted July 31, 201212 yr http://i50.tinypic.com/16bergz.jpg Now that we are less than a month away from the 2012 Video Music Awards, it’s time to expect a flurry of VMA-related news to be rolled out each and every day. In addition to the exciting announcement that comedian Kevin Hart will be handling hosting duties, MTV is proud to reveal that Pink has been added to the already star-studded performer lineup that includes Alicia Keys and One Direction. The five-time VMA winner is slated to debut a new song from her upcoming sixth studio album, The Truth About Love. “Being a part of the VMAs for me is extra special because my mom never let me used to watch MTV as a little girl,” Pink told MTV News recently. “I would watch it anyway but she would also try and ground me but then I would just sneak out my window and go to someone’s house that had MTV so to be on MTV is quite ironic.” The Grammy winner’s 2012 VMA performance will be her third overall, an experience the singer said she always looks forward to because of the laid-back, rock-and-roll atmosphere of the show. “It’s always one of the more enjoyable shows because it’s relaxed and it’s kind of rock and roll and unpredictable and everyone is having a good time,” she said. The Truth About Love, drops September 18. The first single, “Blow Me (One Last Kiss),” is currently climbing the charts and marks her 12th top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100. The 2012 MTV Video Music Awards will air live from Staples Center in Los Angeles on Thursday, September 6, at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Edited August 9, 201212 yr by troublepink
July 31, 201212 yr Fantastic news! Can't wait what she comes up with this time! She has her performance of 'Sober' to beat, so good luck there!
August 9, 201212 yr Author It has been confirmed that Pink will perform at the VMAs "The five-time VMA winner is slated to debut a new song from her upcoming sixth studio album, The Truth About Love." I thought she'd be performing Blow Me, but reading that 'debut a new song...' sounds like we are going to hear something else :D
August 9, 201212 yr I am hoping its some error and she is singing Blow Me. I mean, it'll be her debut performance of it right?
August 9, 201212 yr Author Thats what I thought, I guess we'll have to wait and see  I'd like to see a medley, either Blow Me & new song OR a Pink History medley :P There you go > GTPS > Trouble > Stupid Girls > So What > Blow Me... That would be amazing but I know it wont happen  I have read fans on twitter saying it could be the Eminem song, perhaps starting of wit Blow Me and then going into Here Comes the Weekend, that would be pretty good too :D
August 9, 201212 yr THAT would be cool, is Eminem gonna be there?? I downloaded Won't Back Down, never thought I'd love a song by Eminem
September 4, 201212 yr I'm so excited, if it's Try she performs it could easily be a huge moment like Glitter In The Air at the 2010 Grammys
September 5, 201212 yr Part of me is hopeful that if Try or whatever she performs goes well they might release it to itunes early to cash in on the hype!
September 5, 201212 yr Just seen an ad on fb saying that pink will perform blow me You don't want to miss this! Tune in tomorrow night at 8 p.m. to the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards to catch P!nk performing her latest single "Blow Me (One Last Kiss)". Get a sneak peek of how she arrived for her rehearsal here - http://on.mtv.com/OPYslX Makes a lot more sense really, she's barely done any US promo for it so this should be good for her :)
September 6, 201212 yr Author Well now I'm confused :P An email from Pink this afternoon... "Catch P!nk performing never-before-heard material tonight at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards! The new song is from her new album, The Truth About Love, available Tuesday, September 18th in the U.S." I was kinda hoping it would be Blow Me, we havent seen a live performance of that song yet :o
September 6, 201212 yr Of course she'll perform "Blow Me", it would be strange to jump ship without the song having premiered.
September 7, 201212 yr Performance was great! It was nice to hear the song live, she started off on a small stage and sang the chorus to Get The Party Started then did her trademark bungee jump thing onto the main stage (they panned the camera to chris brown for this part) then started Blow Me, there were dancers dressed as giant lips shooting confetti and she went into the audience briefly, and ended the song by floating a way on a pair of lips. On a side note the performance has put the song back into the top 10 on itunes! she's #11 on the hot 100 this week so she might go top 10 again next week, maybe even a new peak as well!
