Emeli Sande  #2

Wiley  #3

:cheer: Still don't get the love of the Wiley track, it's just a Tesco version of Dizzee's 'Holiday' and I wasn't a big fan of that!

Jay and Ben keep singing that Dizzee Rascal song on eastenders

Wow, Elbow are falling at a comical rate.

That's what reminded me of it, it was the only thing I could think of to compare it to! :kink:

It looks like Trey Songz has some late night fans helping him out

The comical fall is back on! :(

I guess the 48 hour period after the ceremony has just finished now, so it'll be interesting to see how well they hold up after the initial sales boost has worn off.

Holiday would've been even bigger (in the charts) if it was released in 2011 or 2012 imo.

I just noticed it's cute how Wiley and Emeli Sande are both in the top 10 now. We just need Naughty Boy and Shy FX to get there, to complete the Never Be Your Woman quartet.

The live version will surely keep it top 10 on the official chart by Sunday though. :)

I tried to check using the itunes chart archive but i couldn't see it there but im i right in thinking that Holiday got #1 on itunes?
Lol, oh look who's #4 on iTunes right now... :D

It's her decision not to perform or not, she doesn't give a toss whether she peaks at #4 or #44 with this remix, she's one in it for the music which is why she's notoriously private and doesn't want to get caught up in celebrity like a lot of fame seeking celebrities.

To sumarize in two words : she's shy.

Elbow are decreasing at a comical rate now.

Odd turn of phrase.

I suspect they'll remain T10 for the week though - which would still be a massive new peak.

Out of interest, I'm holidaying Menorca and bought How We Do yesterday from iTunes, will it still count towards the British chart?

If it was from UK iTunes, with a CC registered in the UK, then yes.

Where did *this* come from - doesn't seem likely there's an Olympics connection!

I'm happy to see both John Lennon and Kate Bush in the top 10

Clearly a lot of Olympic closing ceremony influence in this chart.

For me the opening ceremony was much much better, the closing one for me was too much focused on just singing. Loved the performances by both Eric Idle and the Brazilian part.

The opening ceremony in parts was brilliant, loved the Underworld track, "And I Will Kiss". Can only wonder how high it would have charted had it been available on i-tunes as an individual download. Would it have been too long for chart qualification. I guess there's a time limit.

Yeah, it got to #1 on iTunes, as did all of Dizzee's songs back then.

Emeli improving by the day, i hope she achieves decent sales with it this week, Elbow i did think would remain in the top 5 but its dropping each day which im a tad surprised about (i just hope it can get a top 10 place on sunday) i am super excited that Kate Bush is steady as i want this woman to have a top 10 place so much this week.
Not looked on iTunes for about four days, looking now and it's a massive WTF moment. I know it's because of the Olympics but seeing Kate Bush, John Lennon, an Emeli Sande album track, Elbow and a number of other ancient or random songs doing REALLY well is very strange.
