At least Real gave it a shot. Thought it might have been too much to ask though.
Barcelona have been made to look very average

Haven't they just! Losing 7-0 on aggregate in a semi-final of the Champions League is disgraceful for the likes of Barcelona.

Barcelona will still be a force, but their defence is so shit. They rely on Messi far too much aswell. Once they eventually buy Nemar they'll solve that problem. They're going to spend massively in the summer, and they're La Liga champions so I don't think they're doing too badly.

Bayern Munich are just class. Martinez-Schwenstiger has got to be the best midfield partnership in the world right now.

Despite their contrasting routes to the final over the last two rounds, I think Dortmund have a great chance. Pretty much the anti-Barcelona in terms of the way the team is built, Bayern will have to play a completely different way against them.

Interesting that you've had Barcelona, Bayern and United run away with their domestic leagues this season but Real, Dortmund and City often have the beating of them in one-off games.

It's a one off game so anything can happen. Think Bayern will win personally, but Dortmund are no mugs. Will be a great game, although admittedly probably not the El Classico the world wanted to see!

I think it show's a difference in mentality and experience between the sides. The former three have been pretty consistent over the past 4-5 years domestically, whereas City are only really just becoming a good team, Real were second best to everything Barcelona for a few years and Dortmund tend to do really well, but then lose their best players. Real self-imploded in the league this year, the Mourinho rot obviously wore in.Seriously the man is the Portuguese Harry Redknapp!

I would prefer if Borussia Dortumund win the final because they have only won the Champions League once compared to 4 times for Bayern Munich. Im just glad that it wont be Barcelona winning it again or Real Madrid who knocked out Man Utd.

Wow, totally unexpected result for Barcelona last night. I was expecting more of a fight back.

Anyway, Chelsea away to FC Basel this evening.

It's quite amusing that, after the draw, all the headlines here were about the possibility of an El Classico final. Nobody seemed to consider the possibility of an all-German final.

Another European trophy for Chelsea, though not the one that Abramovich had in mind.

LMAO at John Terry's trophy lifting antics, It's a case of Deja Vu for him

I swear someone must have put voodoo on John Terry when it comes to European finals. In 2008 he missed the penalty which would have won the Champions League then he missed the final last year and now again this year

He couldn't NOT do it after last year, and it's probably his last chance - can't see them cocking up their CL group next year but equally can't see them going all the way again.

I had a feeling Torres would score last night. Would have liked it to be the winner, but still excellently taken.

Depends who they get as manager bet season. If Rafa was there they would probably get to the semis at least.
