November 5, 201212 yr Freedom is okay, not as good as Marilyn Monroe or Young Forever for those making that comparison!
November 5, 201212 yr Freedom is okay, not as good as Marilyn Monroe or Young Forever for those making that comparison!it's much better than young forever imo it reminds me of her old mixtape days
November 8, 201212 yr Freedom is available to get on UK Itunes She just said on twitter FREEDOM is officially on UK Itunes!!!!!! https://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/freedom/i...;ign-mpt=uo%3D4 …
November 8, 201212 yr Eh. I think "Freedom" is quite dull on first listen. Perhaps it'll grow on me, it just feels like a bit of a chore to listen to. Generally quite excited for the re-up though.
November 9, 201212 yr Can this AWFUL BITCH please stop promoting Pink Friday: the ultra-super-platinum remastered reissue double disc triple threat EDITION and just record some good songs again please?
November 10, 201212 yr Ok I officially love 'The Boys'. A serious 10/10 moment. THANKYOU. It's so good.
November 10, 201212 yr Yeah The Boys is fricking immense. Love it so much, and how often it switches style throughout. Definitely a grower. Just got a new peak on my personal chart! Edited November 10, 201212 yr by HausofKubrick
November 11, 201212 yr Sorry if this was posted already (I can't remember seeing it), but there is a tracklist on Wikipedia (obviously not the best source but it all seems believeable) with the features... 01 Up In Flames 02 Freedom 03 Hell Yeah (ft. Parker) 04 High School (ft. Lil' Wayne) 05 I'm Legit (ft. Ciara) 06 I Endorse These Strippers (ft. Tyga and Thomas Brinx) 07 The Boys (ft. Cassie) 08 Va Va Voom I don't know any of them are meant to be a 'surprising' feature! Ciara though
November 11, 201212 yr It bothers me that the most exciting song on this re-release is probably gonna be "Va Va Voom". And that shouldn't even be considered a new song.
November 12, 201212 yr High School sounds really good. The chorus is really catchy and melodic. It's quite mid-00's sounding, it has strings (like the type from Baby Boy by Beyonce) in the verses. It's the most Buzzjack-friendly. I Endorse These Strippers is VERY catchy imo, but I think most of you won't like it. The Ciara collab was quite disappointing. It's very fast-pased, but I was hoping for something with lots of synths like What's My Name?, but it's really empty like Beez in the Trap basically. :( It'll flop on urban radio in the US. I think High School should be the third track she promotes from this project, unless one of the other songs turns out to be better. EDIT: Actually Up in Flames sounds incredible aswell. It's very T.I.-sounding, in the beat. I wouldn't be surprised if it's produced by Just Blaze. I think some of you might like it, it's got a lot of brass-sounding synths in the verses, and a choir in it aswell aswell. Hell Yeah is good aswell, it's quite strange though. Imagine some UK garage synths playing the lower notes, and some distorted-electric-guitar synth playing the higher notes. I'm not sure what I think of this yet. November 12, 201212 yr Nicki Minaj announced on twitter, that she's no longer going to be doing pop songs :o She never comes across good in these situations either! good question> RT @MINAJvsTheWorld: @NICKIMINAJ We're not upset. Just curious. How'd u come 2 that decision? Versatility was always ur thing HAHHA! ;( > RT @JackMinaj_ NOOOOOOOOOO, Na i love her rapping more than anything, but i need some Nicki Pop in my life. Deadass. ... > RT @pedsaysonika @NICKIMINAJ but would u consider if u got a high demand from ur fans that want more of your pop songs bout the pop song thing? lol. i knew sum of u wld say that ;( > RT @_BeleeDatWoe I am kinda upset about that. no > RT @Onikasus @NICKIMINAJ Do you plan on still doing pop songs ? #REUPNOV19
November 12, 201212 yr ^ I don't believe her tbh. I'm sure she'll do some more. Although it would be a good idea career-wize for her to quit them. She was liked by almost everybody in 2011 when she was more urban-leaning. And now she's more pop-leaning and she's getting so much hate now (including from me ). Or you can look at it the other way, someone like Justin Bieber was hated before, but now he's gone more urban (his current album is more urban than Nicki's imo) and he's more liked now. Nicki needs to do like Rihanna, and do poppy urban songs like Umbrella and Rude Boy. She should do more songs with Dr. Luke and Stargate, since they're the best at that sort of stuff (e.g. Va Va Voom, E.T., Black and Yellow, Irreplaceable, etc.). But Nicki always says things and changes her mind, so I won't get my hopes up.
November 12, 201212 yr But her most successful singles have been her pop ones. She's tried bringing urban Nicki back way too many times, there's a reason "Beez In The Trap" and "The Boys" didn't do well.
November 12, 201212 yr The reason they weren't successful were because radio was still hammering Starships/PTA :drama: I hope she sticks to her word. We have enough people doing the pop stuff much better than her, but noone really like the Pink Friday Nicki, so i'm all for her going back to that in the future. I agree with Eric though, and find it impossible to believe her.

November 15, 201212 yr I suppose I'm a little confused because all her solo music has been v. poppy. Like her first album is basically a pop album with raps. Wiz Khalifa's latest album was very poppy, also Eminem's, and Watch the Throne, and both of B.o.B's album, and many others were very poppy like Pink Friday. There's nothing wrong with that imo. They're still hip hop, and lots of people like catchy hip hop songs. But Nicki suddenly decided in 2012 that she's going to release eurodance songs, which is really weird. I hope she never does any again.
