I love Matt but he seems to like a whinge! Who cares if everyone thinks he is flopping if he is happy with his level of success!

Matt Cardle has said that some people want to give the impression that he has failed regardless of his success.

The winner of the 2010 X Factor told Flavour magazine that he has in fact had a fantastic year.

"It annoys me sometimes because people are too quick to write me off, and they have been doing so ever since I came off the show," Cardle said.

"They seem to forget the fact that my first album was platinum. I have just had another top ten record.

"That's two top tens in one year, and people are still out there saying that I haven't been successful, it gets frustrating."

He added: "But it doesn't seem to matter what I do as people want to give this perception that I have failed or it's the curse of a male [X Factor]winner, when it has not been - as I've had an amazing year.

"Earlier this year, the first album went platinum, and I also had a sold-out tour. So to have had another top ten [album] off the back of going to an indie label - I just couldn't be in a better position."

Of reports of him feuding with X Factor boss Simon Cowell or contestants on the show, Cardle said: "It makes me laugh because it's all bulls**t."

Cardle recently announced details of an unplugged tour of the UK and Ireland.

He releases new single 'Anyone Else' on December 31. The track is the latest to be taken from Cardle's second album The Fire.

It could be a whinge or something taken out of context. Anytime i have seen him interviewed he never moans, its always when he is quoted so i dont take much heed. I would agree whether he said it or not about people writing him off as a failure, he has done better than many people perceive him to have achieved.
He's kind of right though, he's sold more than alot of other artists yet gets labelled a flop. Anyone else is his best song yet, exactly the kind of song I expected from his pre X Factor stuff. Like the video as well. This album hasn't sold very well though. As for his debut, I think Run for your life has to one of the worst ideas for an opening single of all time as every other song on the album is better. Starlight would have done the trick.
Starlight would have suited better as lead single to serve letters, run for your life is a good song but not lead single material. Anyone else is a great song and deserves to be a hit but sadly it wasnt and wont be in the future either. Considering his lack of promotion and lack of hit singles and radio/tv support the album is doing well.
Matt has been added to the Radio 2 playlist which is excellent for him - Really think the album will bounce back into the Top 75 in the New Year now :yahoo:
Well hopefully it gets him some sales, it would be great if he could get even a small hit as the song deserves that at the least. It would be great if the album is still top 100 again this week or even better it it climbed back in to the top 75.
^^I think he will find promotional slots come easier to him now, He is not just a past XF winner now but has a 2nd Top 10 album which shows TV/Media that there is interest in him.
Ya, its great to has stayed around, 5k should be the lowest it sold, hopefully it can keep selling even if in low numbers as it all adds up.
There seems to have been a sudden surge in intereoften the album - We have sold out of it at work so hopefully it will manage to go Top 75 again and not be pushed out by all the sale albums.
Well i hope that sales surge has happened in many places as i would love this album to keep on selling for him.

Has Anyone Else been officially released as a single and if so does anyone know what chart position it peaked at. If it was released i dont think it entered the top 200.
this album is a true winner. love it. better than his debut album.
