Listened to the Semi 1 at work and there're like 3 urban uk garage dubsteppy or whatever tracks in the first 1/3. Rontvian entry actually sounded GOOD sandwiched between them. :o

Oh no, the song is great and I'm glad I knew that beforehand otherwise I'd be in full agreement!

Maybe its just because I'm fresh from listening to the UP list, but with a few exceptions, this was a terrible semi. Its not even that anything was that hideous, it all just went in one ear and out the other, I don't remember how about three quarters of the list went. I can only hope that the songs/qualifiers from semi 1 are better :(

 

This rant isn't meant to be aimed at anyone nor wanting to change things btw, just a thought :lol:

I have now finished my final listen through/about to vote - the 2nd half of semi 2 is FANTASTIC, sadly the basic bitch laiden first half is decidedly less so, but I managed to find 12 good tracks (and mine *.*) so it's all good.

 

I have to agree. Well, I actually think SF2 has many highlights throughout - sadly for Batidas (still love you Panamah :( )

 

I've already got four tracks on 9/10 after one listen (which could be promoted to 10/10 with more listens) and even the highest ranked 8/10 at the moment is borderline 9/10 too. Very impressed. *.*

Voted, one 9/10, nine 8.5/10's and a sea of mediocrity beneath those...that said, that one 9/10 is a damn good discovery and I'm hoping for more gems in Semi 2, which I probably won't have time to listen to until next week :drama:

I have voted. And I've really surprised myself with my 12 pointer, I never expected to be voting for that, much less giving it 12 points, but it's lovely, a great discovery.

Well I guess it's all down to personal taste (and maybe this just shows how BAD mine is) but nevertheless, I found Annoying to be much more tolerable than Hyperventilating which sounded like a woman is being choked to death.

To my ears they're both horrible.

 

I found Semi II on the whole to be really bad this time. I hope the qualifications from Semi I will be better.
