If an X-Factor performance is in the cards, I'll predict another top 3. Without it, probably #5 like Will Young's "Jealousy".

It's different for him, and it's also different to anything that's around at the moment, although that could make it go either way. It's catchy enough though and he still has a strong fanbase so I don't think we can rule out #1. But I went for #3.

It could go #1. I actually really like it - it's very different to what's out there and not one of his usual heavy songs. This almost reminded me Rock DJ.

I've hated Robbie since the early days but this song made me like him A LOT.

Just bought it on iTunes and I've had it on repeat for about 2 hours now.

Better than most of his recent work, but still well below the standard of his golden period.

Top 10, but no higher.

He will find it hard to be no1 again, even take thats days as single no1 artists will be harder now since the flood didnt quite get there. radio 1 will maybe b/clist it as he is now prob considered a radio 2 artist but id say top 5 with an xfactor performance and falling fast enough down the chart like most 'older' artists!!
His best song in an absolute age - Guys this seriously has number one written all over it!!!!

Of course that is the big question, Is Robbie Williams considered 'too old' to be supported by Radio 1? It'll be interesting to see. As a 25 year old guy, I remember Robbie's golden years of Angels, Rock DJ, Strong, etc but still in the R1 target age of 15-29 year olds, so Robbie still appeals to people of my age. I can't remember if R1 supported anything off Take That's Progress (they probably played The Flood at least), but I'm sure I remember Shame on the playlist only 2 years ago so hope they give Robbie the benefit of the doubt for the lead single and see how it performs.

Anyway I put Top 10 for now, but hopefully a number 1.

I'm sensing top 10 based largely on 'hype' alone. It's a good song actually, especially given the sub par 'efforts' he's been pumping out of late. I just don't think in the 2012 musical landscape it's going to really catch on massively.

With an X Factor perf, which seems almost a given, it might manage a week or 2 top 5, but if he turns up coked up to his eyeballs again I'm not so sure.

It is Robbie, is no 1. Especially if he goes on tour.

Why the hell he doesn't search for a solid songwriter to back him? He might be good at lyrics, but he will not remain trendy in this style. He will still have his top 5 singles, but i am afraid after one year hardly anyone apart from his fans will hear these songs -_- . Does he want to be the next Cliff Richard or what? If a no-name would have released this song, I am not sure it would have gone in top 10 ... The song is not strong enough to remain in heads as "it was on the radio as i get married / finish school "-type of song.

IMO should have been only 30 sec long would have been better, after that is only repetitive and the lyrics are too "busy" apart from the refrain. I dread to hear this song in german radio a couple of times each day .

Someone compared with RDJ, that is one of the few song i instantly liked, as it was really ironic and epic in video. This is just a pink pale version of it  . No special orchestration, nothing to put him apart of other songs of this kind. It is catchy till annoyance and that is all.

Yeah they alisted 3 take that singles but the last robbie solo material (bodies) was only blisted i think even though it went top 5!! So even the last material got downgraded in plays and it was quite good too. It all went downhill with rudebox - his first lead single that wasnt alisted!!

I like 'Candy' a lot and the video's wicked...I'm not sure about number 1 though, so I'm gonna say number 2 or 3 :)

It will almost certainly be his 7th UK No.1 Single. However, it reminds

me of a speeded up Nursery Rhyme - perhaps 'Ring A Ring Of Roses'.

It has just been released in many countries (on air/on sale), but will only be available in 7 weeks in the UK.

Won't everyone have ripped it off youtube by then?

Also his album will be released only a week later.

I like the song a lot but it becomes annoying very quickly...

So I predict top 5 only. Bad marketing. <_<
