According to Popjustice forum members it is the next single and the release date is the 11th November...

Apparently this was tweeted:

"@Chartshowtv: We got played the new @littlemixoffic single DNA! Electro-ballad. Very cool. Big vocals."

But deleted shortly after..

Electro ballad?!? OMG YES.

Releasing a ballad may not be the best thing for them. It didn't work for The Saturdays last year (but obviously Little Mix are bigger now after two singles than they've ever been). At least it's not a cover! I'm not sure what I think of the title, it's not the best (hopefully the message isn't the same as "Wings" as well) - at least the album's not called that though as I originally thought when I saw this thread!

I know their "first" single hasn't been out for very long, but if they're waiting until November for the second then that means they're unlikely to perform the first live show of The X Factor - is this the first time that the winner hasn't?! :o

Sounds amazing. I'm assuming electro-ballads and dance-ballads are the same thing, right? I want something like Girls Aloud's Call The Shots, Kylie's The One or Wynter Gordon's Still Getting Younger.
If it could be anything like those 3 BEHEMOTHS it would be the best X FACTOR SINGLE EVER. Yes, that includes The Silence.
Oooh, electro ballad. Now this I likey the sound of! Will chip in and agree re: 'Call The Shots' electro ballad rather than say, 'My Heart Takes Over'...

I don't think they'll do anything like MHTO, thankfully. I like The Saturdays don't get me wrong, but I feel like Little Mix have more about them. Nothing against TS, I just don't think we'll hear Little Mix singing about having a good time in clubs yet.

EDIT - Clearly MHTO isn't about good time in clubs haha but you know what I meannnn.

Electro Ballad, if like others have said its along the lines of 'Call The Shots' or even 'Jealousy' my Will Young then I'm excited
I'm really looking forwards to this, also I'm glad they are going for a slower number this time because they have the vocals to pull it off. 'Wings' is doing really well for them, but they did best on XF when they performed 'Don't Let Go (Love)' & E.T. so they need to get that audience back on board. That said, I hope the majority of the album is uptempo! Fingers crossed the build up to this release runs a lot more smoothly than it did for 'Wings'.

In regards to the first live show - I believe it's Leona Lewis, 'Trouble', who's been confirmed.

15/16 September - Last audition show

22/23 September - Bootcamp

29/30 September - Judges' Houses

06/07 October - First live show

'Trouble' is released on the 7th October here in the UK - so that makes sense. Whilst I'm on a roll - the second live show (13/14 October) could well see Rebecca Ferguson perform 'Backtrack' and then Calvin Harris/Florence or Lawson occupy the second slot). The third live show (20/21 October) will have JLS perform 'Hottest Girl in the World', then Robbie Williams' 'Candy' for the fourth live show (27/28 October) and then further release schedule is currently unavailable; though we're bound to get Rihanna performing her next lead single too.

The performing acts are so predictable now, it's unbelievable.

Tim Powell is rumoured to have written DNA, he has also written:

All I Wanna Do - Dannii Minogue

Round Round - Sugababes

Action - Saint Etienne

Sound Of The Underground - Girls Aloud

Jump - Girls Aloud

Hole In The Head - Sugababes

In The Middle - Sugababes

No Good Advice - Girls Aloud

Giving You Up - Kylie Minogue

Love Machine - Girls Aloud

The Show - Girls Aloud

Wake Me Up - Girls Aloud

Biology - Girls Aloud

Knock Down - Alesha Dixon

Red Dress - Sugababes

Something Kinda Ooh - Girls Aloud

Call The Shots - Girls Aloud

Can't Speak French - Girls Aloud

Sweet About Me - Gabriella Cilmi

Save The Lies - Gabriella Cilmi

Sanctuary - Gabriella Cilmi

The Promise - Girls Aloud

The Boy Does Nothing - Alesha Dixon

My Love Is Better - Annie

Love Etc. - Pet Shop Boys

Left My Heart In Tokyo - Mini Viva

I Wish - Mini Viva

Loving Kind - Girls Aloud

Did You See Me Coming - Pet Shop Boys

Untouchable - Girls Aloud

One Touch - Mini Viva

I'm In Love (I Wanna Do It) - Alex Gaudino

Champagne Lemonade - Ed Drewett

Together - Pet Shop Boys

Tonight - Saint Etienne

I've Got Your Music - Saint Etienne

Picking Up The Pieces - Paloma Faith

If this is even HALF as amazing as The Loving Kind, Untouchable, Call The Shots, Biology, Round Round, Hole In The Head and Sound Of The Underground then colour me extremely excited!

Well, if that list is anything to go off (mainly the Girls Aloud and Sugababes tracks) then Little Mix might actually succeed in continuing where Girls Aloud left off but including Sugababes influences as well?

Also Little Mix doing an electro ballad like 'Call The Shots' would be sublime as long as 'DNA' has a killer chorus and decent hook that once heard is never forgotten.

Thinking about it, I'm sort of hoping 'DNA' sounds like 'Memory Of You' by Girls Aloud. Now that would be a *.* moment, surely? :D

So basically it's a Xenomania number? That suits me - it obviously worked for Amelia Lily (although her track is starting to grate on me now) - could we see a revival for the producers just before Girls Aloud come back and steal everyone's songs? :D

They might as well cover it and show NR what REAL VOX ARE.

Yeah, they put the album cover there too, can't see it online anywhere though. Dean Piper was saying he'd heard it and it was great!
