Very solid effort. Like I said though, it's growing on me more and more each time I hear the album. SO GOOD. :wub:

Change Your Life is great, it's like a slower paced Scatman melody wise. LOVE the strings and the spoken part-verses, possibly my favourite single of theirs so far!

 

The album is very solid on first listen, a few tracks are quite dated but I get the feeling that they're supposed to sound that way, as some sort of 90s throwback.

This is downloading RIGHT NOW. Looking forward to hearing it, heard some great feedback.

My friend's getting me the album for Christmas. I have listened to the previews though...the track that Nicola Roberts co-wrote for them in particular sounds incredible!

Not be confirmed, but they performed it on Children In Need and it was played on Radio to a very positive response so I guess they will probably go with it. :)

The next two singles need to be We Are Who We Are and Change Your Life. Nothing else really stands out as much as them two!

Love, love, love this album! Madhouse & Red Planet are incredible songs! Also really loving Going Nowhere & Case Closed!

 

I think the best single choice would be 'Change Your Life' though, seems perfect for this time of year and it's been getting good feedback and is currently just outside the top 100 on iTunes which is a good sign of one performance. I hope whatever the next single is they decide soon though so they can keep momentum going with the album before the tour starts.

Anyone bought the album from HMV? Is the bonus CD the DNA single or is it just a slipcase?

EDIT: Parts of it strangely reminds me of an Abba song! :lol: (with a more current and up to date production obviously :lol:)

Please tell me they're not going with Change Your Life as the next single. It's so bland, it would kill the campaign. Stereo Soldier on the other hand is a massive bloody HIT waiting to happen. So make it happen!

 

"Stereo Soldier" would be better off as the 4th single. It would be a smash hit in the summer. For the 3rd single a ballad seems to be the most sensible choice. They can't release 3 uptempo songs in a row. They need to show some versatility.

Well I don't really subscribe to the view that uptempos are only good for summer, ballads for winter etc. A good song is a good song at any time of year. Besides if they were insistent on a ballad it should be Pretend It's OK which is pretty killer.

 

I think I too would prefer 'Pretend It's OK'.

 

Great album though, probably the best debut I've ever heard from a X Factor act.

Stereo Soldier is the weak link on the album! Change Your Life will be FINE as the next single. Always Be Together, Red Planet or Love Drunk would be decent choices also. I suppose Pretend It's OK maybe..
