It's that time again!

NBC are off to a decent start with The Voice's Monday premiere pulling in a 4.2 demo, a fair bit down on last season but that had post-Superbowl hype. The New Normal got a 2.5 on Monday before moving to its regular slot last night, not the best of starts but we'll see how that goes. I thought it was a great pilot, pacey and entertaining with a couple of laugh out loud moments.

I hate that I won't have as much time watching TV shows as I had last year :( But I'm still going to religiously download every episode of every show I like even if it means buying additional portable hard drives (mine is already full and I barely have space on my laptop as it is) and stocking all the TV there until I'm 60 and retired (I will be able to finally watch everything 24-hours a day without having to worry about stuff like money, work and social life).

SO EXCITED.

I have decided not to bother with The New Normal, the preview I saw a couple of weeks ago looked painfully unfunny.
I loved The New Normal. I thought it was hilarious. Hope it picks up.

Second episode of The New Normal was equally fabulous and held up in the ratings. I watched Go On, liked most of it but didn't laugh much so not sure how long I'll stick that one out.

The season premiere of X Factor scored a 3.3 which has got to be a CRUSHING disappointment for FOX. It went head to head with The Voice for an hour which also got 3.3, but 2 million more viewers.

The X Factor only scored a 2.7 in the common hour! That has got to be on life support if it continues to slump.

Granted more people are watching TV overall in the 9PM hour but it was beaten by 'Glee' last night! And we all know that's not doing great these days (compared to the ratings beast it was in S2).

Will they can it after this season? FOX could struggle to find shows that even do as well as 'The X Factor' if they do but they can't deny it being a disappointment really.

If it stay's above a 3 they'll probably keep it. If it falls to low or mid 2's I'd feed it to the cancellation bear.
The problem is... after last series, the reputation of The X Factor really wasn't high, I couldn't imagine how many viewers would still be watching it if they'd kept the original line-up :S

'Revolution' started with an impressive 4.1, higher than 'Smash' which had a higher 'The Voice' lead in and lots of Superbowl promo, higher than 'The Event' too, NBC must be happy. I didn't love the pilot but it made me interested enough to give it more of a chance.

'The Mob Doctor' pulled a 1.5, won't be bothering to check that out now.

That's great, obviously it'll fall quite a bit from that, but that certainly bodes well. I absolutely loved it, it was pretty much my most anticipated show of the new season and it lived up to my expectations and then some.

I gave The Mob Doctor a go too, not really worth sticking with anyway so when it inevitably gets pulled in a month or 2 it won't be much of a worry.

No way The Mob Doctor makes it to the end of October with those numbers. If it falls next week it'll probably not even see the end of September!

2.3 for Bones isn't ideal but it's up on the finale and most of the spring run so I be content with that. Getting pwnd by The Voice and CBS comedies.

I quite enjoyed the pilot of The Mob Doctor. Shame it'll be axed before it gets to air all it's episodes.
The new show I'm watching this year is 'Revolution'. It's the usual 'world event' NBC series that gets axed after one season (FlashForward, The Event) but I like it anyway.

The Voice is flying! 4.7 and a 4.5 for the last two episodes. Shakira and Usher have been announced as new judges for the spring season since Xtina and Cee-Lo want a break (but will most likely be back next autumn).

Go On barely lost any audience this week with a 3.3. New Normal down a bit at 2.2.

That's not great for The New Normal. I'm a bit surprised, usually the worse the quality of US comedies the higher they rate.

Only with multicams by and large. Plus NBC do not do hit comedies anymore.
