Scandal and The Neighbours have both been given full season orders. If Scandal continues at the current level I'll be happy enough, but it's already veering into 'silly' territory after only 5 episodes of this season.

NBC have done their midseason schedule, Revolution will have a 4 month hiatus rather than airing episodes without The Voice lead-in, won't return until March 25th.

Smash will be Tuesdays from February.

That's an... interesting move. I guess they want to keep the ratings good as it's their only proper HIT, but still, a 4 month gap is irksome. On the other hand, it means far fewer ridiculous GAPS throughout the season which is also good.

Maybe it could be a good thing though. All the big genre shows of the past that have not followed the procedural forumla strictly have in the end really suffered with having big breaks, because if you miss an episode or two it's hard to keep up. Bold and wise move by NBC. They need a big cliffhanger for when it leaves the air though.

Finals

4.8 The Voice

3.0 Revolution

2.3 DWTS

2.2 Castle

Huge for The Voice (tying the season high), I expected it to be adjusted down more but the pre-emptions for storm coverage appear to have affected ABC more. Partners repeat got about the same as an original episode.

4.6 The Voice (2 hours)

3.4 NCIS

2.8 NCIS:LA

2.3 New Girl

1.9 Dancing With The Stars

1.7 Raising Hope

1.7 Vegas

1.5 The Mindy Project

1.4 Happy Endings

1.4 Ben & Kate

1.2 Don't Trust The B In Apt 23

0.6 Hart Of Dixie

0.3 Emily Owens MD

OUCH for Apartment 23 and I would imagine that 1.7 as good as seals Vegas' fate.

(obv the whole SANDY THING is going down still, but I can't see Apt. 23 getting a 3rd season even without that causing a ratings downturn)

The Voice going on for 2 hours didn't help either, but yeah, not looking good at all. Let's see if it recovers next week

I'm not sure if anyone else watched it (Silas?) but USA has cancelled Common Law :(

Oh and FX has renewed Wilfred.

Wait, what? USA cancelled a show? Shit. The four horsemen must be hiding round the corner.

It was actually on my list of shows to be watched. I'm still waiting for news on Fairly Legal though. Man I love that show.

It was on mine too. But I'm kind of GLAD it got cancelled because I saw a few minutes and it was not anything special :(

Fairly Legal STILL not renewed?! WOT.

The chemistry between the 2 leads was great in Common Law and it has a nice fun aspect to it, but they as good as wrapped the premise up in the final episode so it didn't really have anywhere to go.

That does bode slightly better for Fairy Legal though (even if it's ratings were pretty shit).

Woo. I stopped watching halfway through season 2 which didn't seem as good as the brilliant first season but this may give me the incentive to catch up.

Halloween was not generous...

Officially gone from being amazing to horrific in one season. No In Plain Sight or Fairly Legal to look forward to in spring. :(
